SWAG Off Road V4.0 Portaband Table (SAW NOT INCLUDED)

After buying this kit, I discovered that I’d ordered the wrong model. I contacted SWAG directly and they were able to exchange the correct table top (V3.0) for my bandsaw.The build quality on this thing is great. It’s a very well-designed aftermarket accessory that we all want and/or need for our portable bandsaws. At the very least, I would recommend getting the optional foot switch to make it easier to turn your saw on and off. I also added the miter gauge because it’s always better to have an extra miter gauge floating around the shop and INCRA is good stuff, especially at the offered price.Since I own two bandsaws, this is an ideal thing to have. It is my plan to keep the saw mounted in the table permanently. If you only have one bandsaw, it might be frustrating to assemble/disassemble it from the table as needed. As tools are moving more and more to battery power, this is a great thing to make your old corded portaband a useful fixture once again.One modification that I made right away was to replace the washer for the thumbscrew with a toothed washer for more security (see photo). The other necessity would be to screw the legs to your workbench, or attach to an appropriate piece of plywood that can be clamped to your work table to keep the saw secure while it’s being used. But holes for attachment are provided so it’s an easy upgrade.Overall, SWAG products kick some serious ass. Whoever’s designing their stuff is a genius at upgrading existing tools to make them more useful. This is my honest opinion and I’ve received no incentives for hyping their gear. I hope to buy more products from them in the future based on my satisfaction both with this product and with their customer service.

Great product fast shipping, AMAZING customer service.I bought this table for my band saw and it fits great, and assemble easily, also made of high quality materials with attention to details.So after using the table and foot switch only a few times the foot switch stopped working. So I sent SWAG a email thru Amazon and went on my business picking up the garage from one of my countless projects. 15 minutes later my phone rings and it’s a caller from Oregon? I don’t usually answer phone calls from numbers I don’t know but out of morbid curiosity I answered. It was the guys from SWAG! 😳. We talked about what was going on with my foot switch, after testing it with the meter we decide that it’s dead. They tell me that this is the first one that they had to warrantie and that they would get one right in the mail for me. I kid you not I had a replacement in 2 days, I’m on the east coast and they are on the west coast! They could have put it on a slow boat from China as most other vendors would do, but no they had it on my porch in two days!!Hats off to SWAG! I’ll be buying more of your products if I ever need them!

The Swag stand is outstanding. It assembled perfectly. I did have to go to the hardware store to purchase a 1/4-20 x 3/8" set screw to adjust my Milwaukee portaband which was leaning to the left. The stand makes for more precision cuts than I could ever achieve by hand. However, I regret buying the miter gauge. It is a great miter gauge, but with the nature of the wide throat of the portaband it does not contribute to more exact cuts because the blade flexes to the right or left when cutting and often the cut is not straight even though done with the miter gauge.

I use a HF horiz/vert bandsaw. Made a table for it and it works great. Until you need horizontal. Removing the table is a hassle and usually takes more time than that needed for the cut and I find myself looking for alternative options. So, I bought the Mil saw and this table. At first I was a bit disappointed. Not sure why but maybe my expectations were unreasonably high. That was short-lived. The build quality is very good and the assembly required all of 10min. Mine had a small gap between the saw and the table at the vent slot which allowed for a bit of side to side movement. A small piece of .030 aluminum fixed that and it is now rock solid. Obviously, the movement I mentioned was minimal and to be clear, that is not criticism of Swags awesome product but more a result of casting inconsistencies in the saw. Either way, not a complaint and easily resolved if you're somewhat ocd like me. After a test cut it went on the shelf. 30 min later I needed to make a cut. You literally grab it like you would a toolbox, "throw" it up on whatever you're using to sit it on, plug it in and push the pedal. And get the pedal, that is an awesome addition! That has become my goto saw and I only wish I had purchased it sooner. Props to Swag for a quality product and I highly recommend it to anyone needing a bandsaw. The HF is now exclusively a horizontal saw.

1. The portaband table is amazing. My dad had one and I was using it too much so I got my own. Great design, super heavy duty, and useful for so many things.. very happy.2. SWAG is a company that you will always be happy doing business with. I blew it and placed an order for a table, but it wasn't the one that my saw was compatible with. I called to see if there was a modification I could do to make it work.. they just offered to swap it for the right one and it was all done very fast, by super friendly staff. I can't say enough about the quality of this business as a whole. Seriously, top notch.
