Plug-and-play, nothing much to complain about
I have the SFP+ model, and I have tested with the following devices:* Surface Pro 9 (Windows 11)* Apple M1 Macbook Pro* DAC* 10gtek 10GBase-SR transceiverall worked seamlessly without issue. The SFP+ variant is fanless so it has no noise, but it does run quite hot but no drop out so far.

Works perfectly
It work great with my macbook and full speed absolute perfection. It works great with my Alienware; full speed even the temps are alright However when the Alienware is turned off the cardlooks like it is still operational and get very warm. The card goes sleep only when the laptop is unplug from power supply, so be aware. I would preciated updated link for marwell drivers, I cannot find them

Works well and fast, but fan is noisy
I'm using this to connect a MacBook Pro to my 10GbE network switch, in order to speed up video editing from a 10GbE all-flash NAS. Throughput via this QNAP adapter is incredible and didn't need any drivers. As I'm using a RAID10 SATA SSD array, the MacBook gets about 600-800MB/sec write to the NAS, and about 1100MB/sec read from the NAS.The only complaint is that the QNAP adapter's fan spins up, even when not doing transfers, and it's fairly loud. I may consider pointing a quieter USB fan onto it to reduce temperatures.

Fanless SFP+ 10Gig without pain.
Painless 10Gig without a fan. Works well via a Caldigit Element hub with measured 9gig ish bandwidth on an M1 macbook.

Noisy, noisy noisy
This is very loud for no reason. Fan runs even when no ethernet connected. Fan ramps up under sub gigabit load. Why? Qnap should offer the ability to change fan curve.Worse part is the sound is bad.

A Fan that do also have 10Gb Ethernet as a side feature
While it works reasonably well with reasonable transfer speeds - the dominating feature in this product is the Fan.I do not think I have ever had a more noisy product on my desk than this. I have tried many ways to "help it" dissipate the heat to let the fan spin slower - but nothing helps. So IF you should be so careless as to buy this - make certain that you buy some noise cancelling headphones to go with it.It would probably be great in a tractor or other 8 or 12 cylinder diesel vehicle.

Real 10Gb/s speed, works fine with Linux, the SPF+ model does not make any noise
We use this to connect our laptops with 10Gb/s when transferring a lot of data. Works great.Presumably the complaints about noise are for the 10GBASE-T version. The SPF+ version does not make any noise.

10gig now on my ESXI Server
Used this to give my ESXI NUC 10gig ability. I had to make some BIOS setting changes, but after the second go, it was recognised and gave me what I needed.
