my second CRKT!!!
PROSthis knife is really great quality, I got this after I purchased a larger CRKT M21. very sharp out of the box and holds an edge well.this was to replace my similar style Gerber ( no comparison on quality this is much better however the Gerber retails at $35 and this is about double that (Amazon Prime makes it well worth the price of $48)the glass breaker works great and so does the seat belt cutterbelt clip holds very firm to a pocket or beltthe belt cutter makes it very easy to open giving you more leverageCONSthis is nitpicking but I did disassemble the knife to file a touch of material off of the blade where is comes in contact with the release spring to provide an even smoother and perfect function to the AutoLawks mechanism and ease the blade release when folding the knife, this is not a must but it made it as smooth to open and close as my larger M21. If you choose to do this be careful and only remove a little bit of material at a time in between testing otherwise you can ruin the knife allowing the spring to pass the blade and not lock. I will update with a video of the process when I have free time to edit and shoot. but this only takes about 10 minutes and requires a Torx driver , flathead driver, and a metal file or 400 grit piece of sandpaper.Thoughtswish the blade was coated like my M21. This is not a feature available on the EMT orange version but it is on the black law enforcement model of this M16. but I wanted the orange because it pops and is easy to find if you set it down and walk away from your work area.when i disassembled the knife I added locktite to the screw threads to keep them from backing out. (just in case cause I've had this problem on my 2 Gerbers before from heavy use)the AutoLawks is great and keeps the blade locked OPEN by not allowing the release spring to move. preventing the knife from folding onto your fingers during use, (this becomes a problem on most other brand folders after daily use)some don't like the feature because it adds an extra step but after a few days of use it becomes habit and I sometimes look for it on my older knives( the AutoLawks can be removed if you hate it with just 2 tools)UPDATE... almost a year has gone by I've used the knife almost every day opening and closing easily over 5000 times of not more. Knife is still amazing!! No major or even minor signs of wear and the edge is kept sharp with just a swipe or two of a fine Diamond sharpener every two weeks or so to keep it razor sharp. Very very happy with the knife.

Everyday carry reliability
Excellent knife. The handle is exceptionally durable and makes it very easy to find if dropped. The glass breaker is robust and does not get caught or hang up on anything when entering pockets or pouches.Blade construction is good and the utility of the seat belt cutter goes beyond emergency circumstances. It's a quick cutting surface for string, twine, or small branches without having to deploy the entire blade. The action is smooth with the exception of being a little stiff right out of the box. After a little bit of use the tab inside wears down a little and makes it smoother while still allowing the user to put enough pressure on the Carson flipper before it overcomes it to give it a nice snap open. The pocket clip is sturdy and well made. The angle of the pocket clip is steep and allows for it to easily slide onto a pocket or pouch. However, the angle is steep enough that it protrudes to what I see as being unnecessarily far and can catch on and tear seat fabric. The AutoLock function is very reliable and gives a little bit more peace of mind that no twisting action will disengage the liner lock. This was a very nice feature for me since I have had a knife close up on me while working. It essentially turns the knife into a fixed blade and after a little bit of getting used to is not much harder than the typical liner lock to disengage.

High Quality Knife
This knife is everything I was looking for; a locking multi-functional blade made of high quality steel with some additional emergency features, i.e. the seatbelt cutter and window breaker, all packaged into a size small enough to be carried in most everyday situations.I was unfamiliar with the Carson Flipper and AutoLAWKS features. The first few times I opened the knife I became concerned because it would only open 3/4 of the way, so I had to use another hand to pull the blade into its locked position. In less than five minutes, though, I had both opening and closing the knife with one hand down pat. The trick when opening the knife is to simply flick your wrist downwards as you press the Carson Flipper. As for the AutoLAWKS system, they provide you with a little card that shows four illustrated steps to closing the knife with one hand (pull the red saftey down, then use your thumb to press the locking bar into the side of the handle while using your finger to press the blade down; your thumb is in no danger as the Carson Flipper will stop the blade from fully closing, so you then remove your thumb and close the blade fully - it's an ingenious system and very quick after just five minutes of practice). The concerns expressed by a previous reviewer about the tungsten carbide window breaker are spot on. As that reviewer suggested, you can use the clip to attach it to the inside of your pants pocket and the problem is solved (although the top of the knife will be visible outside of your pants which may not do in some situations). I stumbled upon another solution in the Maglite AM2A346 Mini Maglite/Pocket Knife Leather Holster which I also purchased on Amazon. I actually intended to use it for my Mini Maglite and Leatherman, but my Leatherman is one of the originals and this holster was overkill for it (the Leatherman wasn't going to fall out, but it would move around too much). The M16-13ZLEK is perfect for it though. The knife is held securely and there are no worries whatsoever about the window breaker tearing holes in anything.Last bit of information since it isn't listed at present: The blade length is 3.25".
