Cuckoo Palace German Cuckoo Clock - The Brotzeit House - with Quartz Movement - 10.3 inches high

When I was a small child, I was obsessed with an elderly aunt's cuckoo clock. It had a one day movement with weights, but I didn't appreciate this feature at the time. I desperately wanted a cuckoo clock of my own! Now that I'm getting on a bit, well into my 50's, I'm revisiting those desires. I didn't want a cheap, Asian plastic import that I could get anywhere, I wanted a Black Forest clock, even though I'm aware that they're very much made for a tourist market. However! Covid 19 has challenged all, and I worry as to how any handcrafted industries are surviving now. I googled the makers of my clock. I see that they are small manufacturers based in the Black Forest. I am thrilled by my clock. I can't see the novelty wearing off any time soon. I have always been enchanted and endeared by any form of automata, and I can see that there is workmanship in my clock. Yes, I would have liked a vintage clockwork movement, but I would have never been able to afford it. I would recommend this; I would challenge anyone not to be charmed by it.

This is a very attractive clock with excellent features. Time keeping is good and the cuckoo and music features are very pleasant to listen to. Makes a nice addition to our living room and is a good talking point with visitors. Very pleased with this clock and have no hesitation in recommending it to prospective purchasers.

Some items on the clock did not work, so the clock has gone back to the makers,I now await a replacement

Keeps very good time love the tunes when it chimes has volume control if you wish not to hear them delicate workmanship.
