Not as good as they used to be but better than others on the market
Still relatively tear resistant, not as moisture resistant nor as firm as they used to be made

Great replacement for plastic bags
Great replacement for plastic bags. Works just as good as a regular plastic bag but will biodegrade in the landfill.

Okay for yard, only fair for general composting
These aren't the same quality bags they used to sell. (We would get 13-gallon bags that were pink, and were so good we used them for trash, not just composting, because they were better than the "tough" trash bags.) These are okay, and better than most of the compost bags out there—but that's not saying much. As these are marketed for handling leaves and yard trimmings, maybe they're fine. But for general compost usage, they dissolve far too easily before it's time to discard.

Popped like a balloon!
I used to buy these bags at a local Target and used them for cat litter waste. They worked very well and I had a secret hope that they would break down at the dump and allow a compost situation to arise. Then, they disappeared from the store shelves. :( I was bummed until I remembered Amazon and ordered a box online. I don't know where this box was stored, but these bags are awful! I filled one up with used cat litter and when I picked it up, the bag popped like a balloon and the litter mess was everywhere. So nasty! Hubby thought maybe one bag was defective, so I tried once more. And that bag broke, too! I am going to switch to black garbage bags, I guess. Very disappointing. You can use them for light-weight trash, but don't trust them with anything heavy, it will be a mess!

I love the concept of a biodegradable lawn & yard bag
I love the concept of a biodegradable lawn & yard bag. But these are flawed. The seams burst open under minimal pressure. I used 5 of these bags for yard clean-up. The plastic held up well enough, but the seams did not. I filled the first bag with dried leaves - but not as full as you'd fill a drawstring bag, because these have no drawstrings. You have to leave a little more room to tie the tops. Anyway, I tied off the first bag, moved it out of the way, and a seam burst as soon as I set it down. I used 4 more bags - all filled with dried leaves - and treated them like fragile eggs. Three were OK, but a seam burst on the fourth. Lesson: If you handle them like normal yard bags, seams will burst 100% of the time. If you treat them like they're fragile, seams will burst 25% of the time. For that reason I will be looking for another type of biodegradable bag next time.

These bags don't leak
These are best bags we've used for our kitchen compost, by far. And we've tried them all.

These bags tear easily
They are great for storage and garbage, as long as it is a lightweight load. Anything too heavy causes tearing when lifted.

Every single bag broke.
Every single bag I used split on the side seam. I had to double or triple bag every single time. Poor product.
