I have had this pump for a couple months now with no issues. Works like a charm. Real easy to install

When pump was installed, the motor hummed and would not start. Contacted seller to return it, but was instructed that the motor/pump unit would have to be shipped back to the closest warranty service center for evaluation.

the soft start feature compatible with modified sine wave inverter. the cost was a turnoff but the brand has good reviews

The best submersible pump I have ever used. Durability, reliability and features set it apart from the rest. If you need a heavy duty pump this is it.

These are awesome pumps, even while now being manufactured in Mexico. It losses a star for still being over-priced .. no longer being made in Europe, but more glaringly is the false advertising regarding the Horsepower. In a perfect world, One Horsepower is 746 watts, and these pumps draw about a kilowatt of power, both at 50' of head, as well as 150' of head .. I've had two in service at these heads, and recently measured the AC current with 3 different clamp-ons. 8.4 amps at 120 volts is a kilowatt (1,008 watts) at the 50' head site, and that's the equivalent of 1.35 Horsepower. So if you're on Off-Grid solar PV power, as we all are out here, then the actual power required is of course very important to consider. It is advertised as 1/2 Horsepower, but draws over a kilowatt. A new one .. Made in Mexico .. even shows 10.9 amps at 115 volts on the packaging. I've used both Grundfos as well as Gould for years .. they are awesome and highly reliable. Just be aware that this pump being advertised as 1/2 Horsepower, has NO bearing on it's power consumption. 1/2 Horsepower would draw about 375 watts running .. give or take. Cheers!
