Great bag but a PSA to anyone hanging this up to a low ceiling (like your basement). IF you need to shorten the chain, you will need to widen the new link the carabiner will connect to. The links all look the same, but the last one is slightly wider from the factory.I accomplished this using a vice. Please note any alteration to the link can potentially weaken it. If you break the weld in your attempt to widen the link, tack weld your modified links. Otherwise go to Home Depot and purchase quick links.The bag is only 90lbs though spread across six chains so don’t sweat it…Don’t recommend using smaller carabiners to hook the bag as they rub more and could lead to tearing.

This is the ultimate heavy bag. Cheap heavy bags do not last, especially at all the points of stress, like where the chains connect to the bag itself. On most heavy bags, these stress points end up failing at some point, resulting in tearing of the heavy bag, or bending/warping of the metal fasteners attached to the bag. Although the price tag looks expensive on this particular heavy bag, in the long run it will save money because you will probably never have to buy another heavy bag again. Cry once, buy once. Buy cheap, buy twice (or probably thrice or more if you plan on boxing for years to come). This bag is also very pleasant to hit as it feels cushioned and very spongy. Some heavy bags will feel like concrete in certain places, while other places will sag. I haven't owned this bag for very long, but so far it is very consistent in its cushioning and I never feel like I have to be careful about hitting certain spots on the bag. I have been boxing and hitting heavy bags regularly for about 13 years now, and I highly recommend this product. Just a note, make sure you know what you're doing in terms of anchoring this, or any heavy bag, to the ceiling. Good anchors are hard to find, and a lot of them will also fail just because they use lower echelon metals and bolts. Do your research and plan ahead in terms of anchoring your bag. A proper anchor setup will save you TONS of headaches in the future. Happy hitting.

This bag is obviously high-end & expensive, which is nice when you give it as a gift! My husband said, “woah, this isn’t your average punching bag!” Full leather construction, heavy duty chains. If a punching bag can be beautiful, this is it! It’s going to last more than a lifetime- amazing in an era of throw-away construction.
