Yaqi 24mm Moka Express Mew Brown Synthetic Hair Shaving Brush R1737-24

This is my first synthetic shaving brush and my first Yaqi brush.The idea behind synthetics is that they do not require soaking prior to use and dry more quickly after use, than naturally sourced fibres. They also do not have any lingering animal smells which new horse, badger and boar brushes can have when new.This Yaqi certainly has all of those advantages. Additionally it’s very soft at the tip but has enough strength in the base of the brush to lather using creams and harder soaps. It had no problem creating lather with anything I’ve used with it. Above all though, this brush excels when it comes to painting your face with your lather. It is so soft and provides excellent coverage, which must be the most luxurious part of the shave.I went for a 24mm knot which is large enough to fit in my shave scuttle and make short work of applying the lather. The moka or coffee coloured hexagonal handle is a delight and so easy to use. It also looks really attractive.Best of all, the price at £19 gives you an excellent brush which should last for a long time and is a joy to use.

This is a really nice brush to say I am blown away by the quality of it is a understatement I have to say this is a work of art. I have ten other brushes, Super Badger, Best badger, Boar bristle, and they have just gone away on the top shelf, I am converted to synthetic and I didn't think I would ever say that. But most importantly this brush holds lather as good as super badger, the Mew Brown fibre holds the water and it has just enough backbone without being too floppy, and the 24mm knot is the perfect size. I just latherd up some extro cosmesi italian shaving soap and and I had enough creamy lather for three passes and some more. If you are thinking of changing to synthetic you won't be disappointed and the badgers will love you for it.Chris

Prompt delivery and responsive to communications, thanks Garfield!The Yaqi synthetic knot is lovely and soft, and holds water well. It has less of a backbone than my previous no-name cheapo brush, but generates a great lather. I also find the geometric handle not only aesthetically pleasing, but comfortable to hold and use (but this will come down to personal preference). Overall, very good value for money if you're looking for something which gives that resin-poured vibe, and avoids the hassle of waiting for "drops" from online artisans.

The brush is so soft on my sensitive skin. Easily whips up a lather and is gorgeous to look at. Only issues are that the amber colour has a very slight haze to it and there is not much of a swirl of brown in the amber. More like too separate layers but love it all the same. Great product. Highly recommended.

Lovely brush from Yaqi. They are really making some exciting brushes. Unlike others I have tried Yaqi seem to have some backbone in their synthetic knots. They produce a wonderful lather, good splay and the application is a great pleasure. Recommended.

Arrived promptly, but discovered half centimetre chip on the base of the Brush Handle. Not good for the money I paid.
