Gave new life to some of the old inflatables.

I purchased these only a few months ago, but so far, they have been great. Here are a few notes about them:Bright!: At 3 watts per module, they emit a substantial amount of light. However, please be mindful that when powering these, you should ensure proper airflow or use a heatsink, as they tend to heat up, which is typical for LEDs. The adhesive strip is directly applied to an aluminum plate on the back of each module. If heat is a concern, I recommend removing the adhesive strip and using heat transfer compound/adhesive. While they may not necessarily require this, any LED will have a longer lifespan if operated at cooler temperatures.Focused Beam: These worked perfectly for my application, as I needed to use them as lights in a terrarium (side note: you don't need something marked as a "grow light" for plants). They effectively illuminate the enclosure all the way down to 36 inches in a focused spot pattern.Light Quality: The 6500K color temperature is accurate, as I tested these with a spectrometer.Power Supply: Make sure you account for the correct wattage and amperage for the number of modules you plan to use.Dimming: When using a properly configured LED power supply with LED dimming, they will dim without flickering.Wire Length: The wires are short between each module; however, this may be desired depending on your application. For me, it was perfect as it was a tight area. The only thing I wish for is that the modules themselves had small wire clips to hold down the excess if you mount them as a strand without separating.Water Resistance: I cannot confirm that they are "waterproof," but I can say that they have held up well in a rather wet and humid environment. They get misted daily, and so far, there have been no issues.I hope this review helps!

These lights are amazing! The only issues I have with them is the very short runner leads between them. I've been using them as individual lights. I clip off one side of the runners flush with the light module. I use hot glue and a piece of edge protector to seal the cut end and make it waterproof.I have these used as general area lighting under a lean-to roof spaced at 16" centers between rafter bays. I feed them with 14awg landscape wire for runners and use landscape lighting connectors and a 12 volt DC LED power supply. I run the supply off of a simple timer, but a photo cell would work too. Each 3 watt light is pretty bright and provide a nice even lighting across the area, without being blinding at night.An individual module can provide some good lighting in a car or truck, like a dome light, door light and under the hood or deck lid. The applications seem endless. I just wish they came as individual modules with a bout a foot of lead wire. That would save the need to waterproof the cut end. The double stick backing or a stronger version can be used for secure mounting or using the corner holes for scew mounting, although the holes are too small for all but the smallest screws. I enlarge the holes to fit a #6 wood or sheet metal screw.The models are well made but if you used them at the standard spacing of the runners, they are almost way too bright. If they made these in RGB addressable format, you could build amazing programmable area lighting. As is, the price is not bad for a super bright, white, non dimmable LED,

No issue with what I got just what I needed it for. I was looking to relight Christmas inflatables and did not pay enough attention to the size of these light. Too big and needs too much "power" to work with standard decorations.
