Easy to assemble and provides hours of fun!
I purchased this Lego City Firetruck 60107 Kit for my son's Pre-K graduation gift. He became a Lego fan around Christmas and since then his Lego collection has developed nicely. The kit has 214 pieces and easy to follow instructions booklet. He just turned 5 and is able to assemble this on his own in less than an hour. The retractable ladder, wind up fire hose, and side door are all nice touches that my son thoroughly enjoys playing with. There is a male and female firefighter, a fire extinguisher, and a easy to assemble oil barrel with flames. The shooting/releasing mechanism on the fire extinguisher is quick, sturdy, and easy for little fingers to use. Since the initial purchase in June, we've disassembled and reassembled this kit at least 3 times. I'm very happy with my purchase and the general price and value of Legos on Amazon. I'd definitely recommend this to others and would repurchase for gifting. As my personal rule of thumb:I award 5 stars to products that exceed my expectations and that I would repurchase again at full price.I award 4 stars to products that can be improved but overall work well and are up to par. These I would still repurchase at full price.I award 3 stars to products that are mediocre and I would NOT repurchase at full price.I award 2 stars to products that are underwhelming and definitely would NOT repurchase at full price.I award 1 star to products that do not work correctly and should not be on the market.

Be a hero and save the day with this great LEGO set.
LEGO fire truck... what's not to love? Every city needs a fire truck and every kid loves a LEGO fire truck. Great functionality and great playability... go save the day with this great set. The ladder has excellent movement and rotation and there are several compartments on the fire truck to store and transport gear. The fire truck looks pretty neat in person as well. Two thumbs up from this bricker.Pros:- The ladder is awesome and makes getting to hard to reach places easy- The overall structure of the fire truck is sturdy and strong- The fire truck looks awesome with great coloring- This is all but guaranteed to be a hit in your houseCons:- You have to be careful when rotating the ladder as it can come loose from its baseIf you can find this set for under $20, then it’s definitely worth getting. It comes with two firefighter minifigs as well, so there’s lots of possibility for creativity and imagination. If my review was helpful, please click on 'helpful' below. LOVE IT AND GREAT GIFT FOR THE LEGO LOVER
My son loves fire trucks!!! This was easy to put together with my 3.5 year old. This fire truck is a great way to build up a fire department fleet. The two minifigures are great, and the ladder portion of the truck is neat. The little accessory on fire is cool too.It was a quick build for advanced builders.I like the movements for the ladder. It was fun to build and easy to play with.Kids have fun building it and tearing it apart and rebuilding it again.

A great set!
i was big into legos as a kid, and my two year old plays with deploys all day. He also loves fire trucks, so I figured this might be fun. I putt this together while he was sleeping, and he's had lots of fun playing with the firefighters and the truck. The design is really clever, and the set is beautifully detailed. My only complaint was a minor one, and at this price point, wasn't worth deducting a star, but the stickers are really tough to put on accurately. Printed bricks would be much easier, but I suspect that would make the set much more expensive.

he watched with great tenacity that when an item or section came apart ...
My son was thrilled to get his Lego toy. When the package arrived, I was able to assemble it for him in 15 minutes so he could play with it. While assembling the fire truck, he watched with great tenacity that when an item or section came apart he was able to fix it himself. As an opinion of Legos, I think they are great for children to help with multiple skills from making them more creative as well as developing their motor skills. I'll have to admit that getting items from Amazon also helped my child to learn patience. When we looked online for a Lego toy he wanted out of the vast selection, he was reminded that it will take two days to arrive. At first he did not understand that it took time to come to our house. He primarily asked if we can go pick it up. When he was told it will come soon and had to wait for it, he was explained how packages were sent to our home. Once that was explained, he knew exactly what to expect and got to the mailbox, "Daddy, the mailman brought me my toy today!" It was a great feeling to know my child understood patience as well as his father trying to put it together. Now... the only thing to do is work on his frustration to build them.

Amazing value and very educational
Excellent value - The ladder spins, lifts and extends! My ONLY complaint -- it is virtually impossible to put the minifigures inside the fire truck without removing the ceiling. It is very annoying and inconvinient, but the minifugures are clearly intended to go inside (there is a seat and there is space for them to sit). Just too bad it cannot be done in a less frustrating ad adult-engaging way.The blocks are divided into 2 bags to keep the construction less messy. It was a little long for a 5 year old so we constructed the first bag and took a break before finishing the second half, which is great.Lots of fun playing, including coming to rescue the Friends city crowd (a fire in the oven of one of the Friends and a dog chased a cat that ended up climbing a tree). My kids learned to call 911 to call for the fire fighters to come, and practiced the address.
