Sam McCarter's book is textbookish and basically teaches toapproach writing skills for English language tests.I bought the books for its pedagogical material, not forlearning the skills. I have another one by McCarter,A Book on Writing, which is excellent.If English is your second language, and if you are going towrite any English test, this and other book by McCarter willhelp you.

Timely delivered with good quality book but I was looking for the IELTS general test writing but in this book, it mainly focus on the academic writing.

The absolute best book for self-study. step-by-step guidance ideal for self-study, technique boxes to reinforce how to approach key tasks used in the IELTS exam and practice tests at the end of every unit. Excellent

No product offers as structured an approach towards improvement as this one.

Good one for academic writing task 1 only.
