This nut gatherer is amazing! It does a FANTASTIC job picking up our walnuts. We highly recommend also buying the handle (priced separately).....the handle is very sturdy and sharp looking....and you can start picking up nuts right away! It’s pricey up front, but it has paid for itself over and over again. A good tool is worth its weight in gold and this is one of those tools. For years we have picked up walnuts in our back yard by hand. We finally invested in this tool and we LOVE it. The discharge chute on the side is another GREAT feature that makes the process faster, saves on the back, and also prevents your hands from getting stained! (We have not found any other nut gatherer that has this discharge chute feature, and we would not want to give up this feature because of the three advantages previously stated.) My husband and I used to pick up walnuts together, and now we argue who gets to do the job! He LOVES having his morning coffee while listening to the birds and rolling the nut gatherer along to pick up our walnuts. Who would have ever thought that picking up walnuts could actually be relaxing!!!????

Easily swapped out on the handle. The blade is sharp, especially the corners, and works well on my heavy clay soil.

I love working with this tool in our hard clay soil. It is a lot lighter than the other ones I have purchased and has sharper tines to help loosen soil clumps. The paint makes cleaning it a breeze. I simply dust off the soil after each use.The tool does allow a user to unscrew the handle. Since I bought it to use as a hand tool, I dont have a reason to remove the handle right now but it is nice having an option.I am very happy with this purchase and it makes working in our flower beds a breeze.

Absolutely does exactly what it’s supposed to and does it well. We have a lot of weeds happily sprouting in our sidewalk and brick walkway. We used it initially for removing the weeds and now have started to use it to remove the dirt from those tiny spaces so we can fill with polymer paving sand. This tool makes it so much easier. If it were long-handled (so it could be used without kneeling) would be the only way I could love it more. I debated over this for a week or two. If i’d known how much easier it made things, I wouldn’t have waited a second.

This thing is great! We had a huge crop of black walnuts in our yard this year and this tool made quick work (it was actually kinda fun) of collecting them and depositing them into the wheelbarrow. Though made of mostly plastic its fairly sturdy. The discharge chute makes this tool easier to use than similar tools without one - not having to bend down and get your hands all full of whatnot when separating the tines of the basket to release its contents made this collector a great choice for us. The 4 stars are for having to buy a rather pricy, but flimsy proprietory handle separately. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this fruit collector.

Want some sturdy and practical garden tool...forget HD or Lo... stuff....go with the German brand that is available for decades for a reason

Ok...So we have been going to the family orchard for decades to pick up after the tenant farmer harvests. We have used a variety of other tools to spare our back. The POSITIVE for this model, The dumping mechanism works great. That was always the drawback for the nut weasel models. The NEGATIVE? It drops nuts almost as fast as picking them up. You can get 10-12 walnuts in there before they start falling out through the cage as you open it to pick up more. On Level ground it is pretty good. Rough ground, not so much. They need to fix that hampster wheel of theirs to make this a 5 star.OH dont forget to buy the handle too. Expensive.

This tool works wonderful for picking up black walnuts that fall from my tree and litter the yard..... BUT..... be aware you MUST order the handle separately, it does NOT come with the 'Fruit Collector' apparatus, so plan on an additional expense for the handle. I was surprised that the tool worked as well as it does..... and it makes short order of doing a back-breaking chore of collecting the walnuts.... and it's easy to empty. I haven't tried it on anything larger than a walnut (in it's hull). All in all, I'm impressed with the tool !!

Best rake ever!!!! Lost mine and this was the only one that was the same, that I could find!!

Fonctionne super bien , rapide efficace, je ne m’en passerais plus, vous devriez en faire plus de publicité…je suis certaine que toutes les personnes qui doivent ramasser les pommes tombées de leurs pommier aimeraient connaître cet appareil! Son seul petit défaut….son prix un peu cher !

Ordered a new handle and it was too short. The longer one is not like the lighter and older version.Do I sound like Goldilocks?Will keep both handles and use them with those head. My old one finally rusted out and died after years of service.
