Best knife for the money I have ever owned.
I have been carrying a knife every day for the past twenty two years. I've had Smith and Wesson knives. I've carried Kershaw, crkt, Gerber, leather man, and a bunch of different brands that aren't worth mentioning. This is the third time I've purchased the bear and sons bear swipe 4. I lost the other two. They did not break. Now that they have added a flipper I think this knife is perfect. The action of the assisted opening is strong and gratifying. It is made in the USA. The blade comes very sharp and it holds an edge very well. It's harder to sharpen than some knives I have owned, but that's because the steel is harder and it consequently dulls much less quickly. For ~fifty dollars this knife just can't be beat. If you're on the fence just pull the trigger and pick one up. You won't regret it. I don't intend to buy a daily carry knife from another company again unless something comes along that offers this much knife for such a great price. The knife was great before they added a flipper, but now this knife is just about perfect.

Great for EDC, light, sharp, very secure clip.
Had it for about a month of daily use. The blade came razor sharp. The spring assist makes one handed opening no issue. The knife feels strong but not heavy, pocket clip is very strong and holds the knife securely in my pocket no matter what I wear jeans, jogging pants, athletic shorts...I posted a pic of the blade under 30x loupe, this is after a month of anything from cardboard to sacks of gravel, basically anything needed cutting this past month. This is no sharpening or stropping yet, month of daily use on factory edge.Noticably less sharp from the day I got it,but still cuts better then any other knife I have right now. Feels good, hope it lasts.

Made in USA baby. Don’t buy a china knife... don’t do it!
Background: I Everyday carried a Kershaw Ken Onion Leek for over a decade. Yes the same knife for 10yrs. Loved it. Its so thin I literally forget I’m even carrying it. Even in thin dress type pants. But the weight of it felt substantial. And the blade handled anything I could throw at it. The flipper opening tab on the back is so smooth and addictive. If you couldn’t tell... I loved that knife. Pictured. The only things I didn’t like were the handle is so smooth if I was into a heavy cutting task I was worried hand would slide up onto the blade. The lock I never ever used. And the blade at times felt a bit under sized for some tasks but I made it work. The blade finally wore out and it was time to replace. 10yrs...pretty good eh?My goals for a new EDC knife were:1. Made in USA (but in the $50-70 range) $100+ is just too much to spend on a knife I’m gonna beat the heck out of in day to day tasks.2. A bit larger knife than the leek3. Grippier handle than the leek4. Easy to open5. Pocket clipAfter a few days with the Swipe I can say it’s a good knife but not as good as the leek. Maybe it needs broken in more but opening it is not smooth. You have to think about it to open one handed. The leek you don’t even think about and boom it’s open. In hindsight I woulda got a knife with the opening tab on the back. Now I know i can’t live without that feature in an EDC. The handle is awesome though. Very textured and sticks to your hand like glue. Instills more confidence in a bigger cutting task than the leek. I can tell I’m wearing it but that comes with the territory in a bigger frame knife. But there is something special about made in USA from a smallish company as opposed to one of the big boys. I have a feeling this knife will last a long time. Buy a USA knife. Remember the bitterness of low quality remains after the sweetness of a low price fades.

Very nice
Very nice for the price. And it’s made in America. Can’t beat it.

Great feel poor quality
Knife has a great feel, made in USA. That’s the only perks. Getting ready to send it back for the second time for repairs. May not see to bad but it’s been sitting in a box for last 3 years. Knife broke again with in 2 days of receiving it back from repairs. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to buy a Benchmade

I love the look but it won't hold an edge.
Absolutely love the look and feel of this knife. Made in USA. But I can put a razor edge on it with a couple of swipes on a stone and it'll be dull to the point of having to resharpen it after cutting a single piece of rope. Even changed the degree I was sharpening just in case it was too much and the same result. I'm guessing the blade was never hardened. I've had the knife for a couple of months now just to give it a fair review. I wouldn't recommend it if you need a dependable sharp blade.

It's made in Alabama USA and love their products
I actually don't have this model to be honest, but I do have one of their bear ops automatics. Which is much like this knife and love it, therefore I feel like l can most definitely recommend it and won't be disappointed if you get it
