outstanding tone and sustain
a stunning splatted maple top on an ash body - right out of the box it played great (very minor adjustments that i made) strong, snappy responsive tone - articulate, punchy, and easily modified - open, warm tone and smooth playing feel. it should cost more then what it sells for, It is all about the sound and tones you are able to achieve. Not all $1000.00 plus basses sound this good. You pay for the labor it took to create this bass. Try this bass again. read all the reviews from other sites. This bass, ROCKS!

For the price of this you get a REAL nicely made bass
this bass is unbelievable. For the price of this you get a REAL nicely made bass, the electronics are nice w/ the exception of the high's , it doesn't push that much like the mid and bass eq's do. but that shouldn't stand in your way..i have played with a Tobias 6 string for many years and this bass stacks right up there with the toby, but it's a little lighter (thank god for that)..i have played a Yamaha and Ibanez 6 string at a cost of about $500 each and they just don't compare to this bass.. I say if your ready for a six I would recommend this bass

what a gem of a bass
i just got my 6 string bass guitar and its currently in the shop getting setup, but oh my god what a stellar deal for such a quality crafted instrument. I couldn't be more happy with this peice of art, the spalted maple is gorgeous. I love how the satin finish makes you feel more connected to the process of craft involved in its creation, such a raw feeling.

Sounds great and very comfortable to play!
I'm guitar player, but I play a little bit of bass. I have a old SG bass, but I needed a new one. A friend o'mine have a Schecter, but I don't like the sound. I was watching reviews about bass on YouTube, and I like the sound of ESP LTD B-206SM. Sounds great! I like the body, the color, the neck, 2 control volume, 3 band EQ. Very comfortable to play. Nice bass for the price. I highly recommend it!

Good tone, comfortable 35" scale
ESP quality at a nice price. Bought an ESP 5 15 yrs ago and love it. Took a gamble on the six as I made 2 fretless 6 and wanted some frets too. Comfortable but I don't use it much because the 35" scale is awkward to me. Odd, I play stand up and fretted as well as fretless 34" with no problems. Your mileage may vary.

Good craftsmanship, but unimpressive sound!!!
I bought this inexpensive bass out of curiosity. I received it two days ago. The craftsmanship on this bass is really good. It looks actually better than what is shown in these pictures. It's playable, despite the fret buzz due to the low action. This can be corrected. The neck is just as smooth and thin as that of Ibanez basses. However, I'm not impressed by its sound. After I removed the original cheap strings (that left a dark-grey deposit on my fingers) it came with and replaced them with DR Low Rider strings, it still doesn't sound impressive. It doesn't have the sonic variety that is advertised. It lacks the punch and the attack that I'm used to with my Carvin and Ibanez basses. This bass guitar deserves the 3 stars that I'm giving it.
