You Have To Program The Buttons Separately!!!!!
Great key. DOES NOT WORK ON FORD E-250 ECOLINE EVEN THIUGH AMAZON SAYS IT DOES....that being said they is still an excellent key.All of these keys need to be programmed in the 2 Parts!Part one:Take it to the dealership to program a second key ONLY if you have one key otherwise Youtube or Google "how to program a third key when I already have 2 keys for my ___________"Part two:Program the buttons. If you are getting key number 2 done at a dealership (~$40 ir more for this style of key), they should program the buttons. If they dont program the buttons then go back and tell them. CHECK THE BUTTONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE DEALERSHIP.Part two of part two:If you program a third key yourself(you cant program a second key if you only have one key but if you have two keys you can program a third or fourth etc) you need to know that after you program the third key, you have to collect all of your keyless entry button fobs(this includes fobs attached to any keys) and program all of them at once(usually up to four key fobs).EVEN THOUGH THE UNLOCK BOTTONS ARE ON THE KEY, YOU NEED TO TREAT THEM AS TWO DIFFERENT ITEMS.Great key. Make sure you check the list of vehicles it works with otherwise you might not be able to use this key.

DOES NOT WORK on the Ford Expedition (2010)
I bought this item a couple years ago, had it cut at a locksmith and programmed it myself - and it has been working absolutely perfectly. I bought it again in 2024 (2pack) thinking I was getting the exact same product that I knew and loved. WRONG. After having the keys cut, I couldn't get them to program. Neither the key turn method nor using the FORscan software worked to program these new keys. Looking at these newer keys - the chip is wrong. It was only then I noticed the string of recent bad reviews of this item and saw others were having problems. Someone mentioned that the new stock of the keys is not the same as what was sold previously. It makes sense. I returned these. Thanks to Amazon, I got my money back, but I am out the money I paid the locksmith. I was really bummed dealing with the hassle of all this, since my previous purchase of this item was great. Hopefully the seller will take notice and fix the issue.

Works as advertised, However...
Keep in mind that buying the blanks is the easy part. There are three different steps that have to be executed:1. Cut the key so that it will fit and turn in the ignition and doors2. Program the keyless entry for doors and trunk so that you can lock and unlock the doors and trunk3. Program transponder to communicate with the vehicle, allowing it to startYou can do steps 1& 2 yourself, Step 3 is the tricky partIf you already have two working transponder keys You can also do step 3 yourself, you only need to bring a working key and blank to a locksmith to cut the blank. This can be done inexpensively (in some cases for as little as $5.00).That said, you should always have at least three working transponder keys. If one gets lost, You can cut a new blank and program the new transponder key yourself with the remaining two keys.Depending on where you live, you may have a hard time finding a locksmith willing to work with these blanks as they want to sell you their own (which I strongly suspect they get from the same source). The vendor web link brings you to RemotesRemotes.com and while they provide you with a list of local recommended locksmiths, there is no agreement between those businesses and RemotesRemotes.com. They may or may not work with your blanks and prices can vary greatly for the same service. The prices that I was quoted ranged from $120.00 to $$250.00 per key. I was able to negotiate $175.00 for two keys.

Requires a two step programming
I had recently bought new fobs for my Ford Ranger and learned how to program them using the on/off 8 times (quickly) routine so I was confident that this replacement key with fob would be the same. I programmed the remote using the same technique as I did with the Ranger and the remote part works great. I then took the new blank key/fob and had it cut using my original key. I went out to the car hit the remote, unlocked the door, put the key in the ignition turned it to start and... nothing! I was a bit panicked thinking I had just blown $30. I went back online and did a search for programming a 2009 and found the video below which shows how to program a PATS (chip) key. Once I did that then the key worked perfectly. It does require you to have both factory keys. I highly recommend this key as it's an almost exact duplicate of the factory key. The only difference I could see is that it's slightly longer but works great.

It works, just know the process
We just acquired a 2011 Navigator. The dealer wanted 130 smokes. This key was 20$ as we already had the two keys that came with vehicle. We wanted one to leave at home just in case something weird happened or kids needed car etc. Most locksmiths where less than dealer but because of most are mobile they cost to get to your location. Called ACE hardware and because had the key only charged me 2$. Now the real test. The instructions in the manual where very clear that all was needed was the normal insert programed key and second program key and then new key. Did that and the immobilizer worked fine. Car turned on. Manual says if you do this is should also do the remote portion. THAT ISNT THE CASE. So Amazon buyers realize it is a two step process. Immobilizer then keyless part. To get keyless part to work use programed key and off on 8 times with the last time being in the on position. Push lock and unlock on the new key and jingle bam it works. all good. you can find this in some of the other questions answered. just now where in car manual it says two steps. The web is a bit confused on this as well. just do two steps and things work like a charm. even opens the liftgate. Very happy.
