I have used the same color since I was in my 20's (I am 60) and have never been disappointed. Try coloring the roots first, then about 10 minutes before the time is up, I leave in the full 45 minutes, add the remainder of the color to all of your hair. Your white or silver hair is going to come out a bit lighter no matter what color you use since the hair is lighter to start with.
