Sleep Master Sleep Mask

For the past 5 years after a painful event in my life which I won't get into... My sleep suffered tremendously. I just couldn't sleep at night... I tried everything...-Dangerous prescription-grade pharmaceutical drugs (Valium and other powerful sedatives)-Melatonin "Natural" Supplements. (No matter how high of dosage... It had zero effect on me. And there is nothing "natural" about putiing a hormone in the body from a external source which affects the entire endocrine system of the body.)-Sleep positions-Window shades and darkening the room as much as possible during the night. (Ineffective.)-Hypnosis (What a fraud!)-Sleep Masks (Pretty much all of them except for this one don't work because they are poorly very engineered so to speak. Remember there is a reason why this sleep mask of all things has a patent... Because all the other competitors lack the innovation to manufacture an effective sleep mask.)I was sleeping barely much and when I did it was during the day hours. My sleep quality was also very terrible. I woke up with headaches, still extremely tired and very unrefreshed (If that's a word.)This continued on for the past 5 years.After getting this sleep mask... ALL my sleep problems seemed to have just honestly magically disappeared literally overnight. I can now sleep easily and quickly at night without any issues. I have also noticed that I am only sleeping like 5-6 hours with this sleep mask yet I honestly real feel like I got a good 10 hours of sleep...Unbelievable. I woke up today... Looked at the clock and was a bit shocked that I only slept 5 hours yet for some reason I was not tired at all but extremely energized like I had gotten plenty of sleep. (10 hours).It's now 6:41pm and I still haven't felt an ounce of fatigue, grogginess or drowsy as I am writing this review.This sleep mask for $25? It's too much? Let me tell YOU what's too much... Having the lifestyle of a drug addict even though you have never even done something as small as marijuana in your life or gotten drunk from alcohol.The complete transformation in my life this has made was nothing for $25 dollars. Sleep master please keep my $25 dollars and I'll keep my physical and mental health that your product has benefited me.The fabric and stitching quality of this product extremely high quality. I have not seen any sleep mask on the market (I have a lot of them) with level of fabric quality than this one. The stitching is very very sturdy too. The comfort is the ultimate kicker!I have a big nose... Very big nose... And pretty no sleep mask except for this one was comfortable for me. This is for all sizes! And it doesn't build up heat or induce sweat while you sleep.Don't worry about the price for this. If you are being stingy by thinking "Oh $25 dollars for a small piece of fabric..." You are thinking wrong!Think about the benefits you will get from a product like this. I already mentioned them... Today I woke up after only a week of having this product with significantly less black eyes than in the past 5 years. I have no headache or fatigue.This product blocks COMPLETE light to the eyes causing the body to release melatonin: A powerful anti-aging anti-oxidant hormone that tells the body to sleep and also induces high amounts of HGH and DHEA to released which also has many anti-aging anti-oxidant properties. The body than has lowered cortisol and adrenaline which ages the body, increases risks of heart disease, high blood pressure and obesity.)Those of you who have a circadian rhythm disorder this is your real natural cure! Not the veneering as "natural" melatonin "supplements" (really drugs actually) which the FDA should step in and not make available without prescription. Did you men out there know by the way that so-called "natural" melatonin drugs can shut down your natural testosterone product, shrink the testicles and stop sperm production eventually?Well there have been several reputable documented case studies which have showed without any doubt that you should not being taking this drug unless prescribed by a well-qualified physician.The safe way to get your melatonin is with this sleep mask because you will not pumping the body with a hormone from an outside external source which can cause the entire endocrine system to shut down. (It thinks if it is getting a hormone from a outside source, what the use in being active?)You can't make this yourself most likely anyway for you frugal folks out there. It will be too time-consuming anyway and not worth the effort. Don't take my word... Research all the sleep masks out there. They suck! The are not durable, not comfortable, don't fully block light and overtime become more expensive due to replacements. They also fall off. (Further diminishing effectiveness.)This sleep mask is actually a complete bargain for what it does... Those sleep drugs are actually very expensive (at least the ones dangerous enough to be effective and effective enough to be dangerous). They can also cause very expensive health problems. Hope you have very good medical insurance if the drugs mess up something major in your body. (They eventually will)Just my unbiased take and how see spending $25 dollars on this as really good investment for your mental and physical health which many other dangerous remedies for proper sleep will end up costing you more money in the long haul and will not be a long-term cure but rather a short-term management. (Those drugs get ineffective until you need a higher dose or a completely new and more dangerous drug.)The ear plug included also pretty much make things almost completely silent. With the combination of complete sound and light blockage... I literally completely pass out dead... More dead than any drug I've tired.It's up to you... $25 for some weak-a$$ drug over-counter at CVS or this sleep mask which is a natural long-term remedy more effective than the most powerful sedatives that hardly any doctor will every prescribe for anyway plus the risk of death from those drugs plus addiction.

I like this mask because all other masks bother my ears after a while. This is soft and lays over the ears. Good quality.

FOLLOW-UP NOTE 4/7/12: I apologize for the length and details in this review which relates also to sleeping disorders instead of a review of the mask only. I realize this is more information than most of you need or want to know. I was hoping that adding this additional information of what we have done to treat this, for those who have sleeping disorders, that it might possibly be helpful to them. It is a serious condition that can have a terrible affect on one's body, mind and health. For those who don't want or need this information, please forgive me and just disregard. The mask works great! God bless!I bought this for my son as he has very serious sleeping disorders. Mostly circadian rh ythm problem. We have tried just about everything over the years. Dr. said best room temperature for sleeping is 68 degrees. We do that. In fact, I do that for myself too and it does make a difference.Sleeps some during the day so black out room. Unable to do that right now. (Thus sleeping mask is needed). Bought him a Tempurpedic mattress (this helped greatly and worth every penny. Also bought him the Tempurpedic pillows and he says he will never sleep with any other kind of pillow now, he loves them). We tried several of the cheaper copy cat kind but they were not the same, unfortunately. Dr. said, "make sure he has plenty of light during waking hours". Dr. prescribed a light machine but insurance wouldn't pay for it because in New Mexico, they say, we have plenty of light. Wrong. Not if lots of trees and one small window with northern exposure. Bought him machine for "white noise" rainfall, etc. If room is too quiet, it is difficult to sleep. That made big difference too. Sprays lavender (aromatherapy for relaxation) on his pillow. He takes Melatonin tablet at time to sleep. These help too. Whew, it's been a job! LIGHT is biggest remaining problem, other than sleeping with 4-5 toy poodles (which remains unchangeable), so I bought the mask. It was more expensive than most, but then it is a patented design and there is more to it. I bought 2 other masks, one for me. The other to put in freezer for sinus headaches. He tried them and the nose areas let in too much light as he has larger nose than me. This mask, he says, feels better, only lets a tiny bit of light in at bottom nose area. He likes it too because it covers his ears and gives him a "comfy" feeling and drowns out louder unwanted noise. He still sleeps with a pillow over his head which he has done since a child and he still will not stop it. I thought the mask would help him stop that but it hasn't so far. Also, I thought when it said the mask interior was cotton fabric I thought that meant the inside side was cotton. It is not . It is all a very soft satin, inside and outside. I guess they meant the interior inside the mask that plumps it up. No big deal though. he uses it and likes it and that is something!The first night he did the velcro too tight and his ears were sore the next day. He has fixed that problem by not attaching it so tightly. While it does not bother him too much that there is no space to keepthe mask from touching his eyes inside, it would bother me, thus, I chose a different, less expensive mask. I am wondering for 'fitful' sleepers if a fabric other than soft, slippery satin would be better to keep the mask in place with less movement and sliding down? Just a suggestion. The seamstress, designer in me talking. Being a young man of few words , and slow to get excited about many things, my young son says this mask is "adequate". That is a good review from him.
