Great Quality for the Price
After reading a few negative reviews, I felt compelled to share my own experience of this sword. The quality of the workmanship on this piece is very high; all of the fittings on both the blade & scabbard are very well formed, with absolutely no burrs, blemishes, or rough spots. Honestly, I've seen less attention to detail on many higher-priced repros. The scabbard is the best I've ever seen on one outside of Museum Replicas... sturdy wood covered in smooth leather, the fittings heavy & well-made. It may even be lined w/leather, as the opening is lined & the blade fits snugly without any rattling. The blade itself is as advertised, triple-grooved & sharp, with not a spot of filing or discoloration. I was very impressed with the high quality of this piece --- I've seen comparable work selling for much more. I own both real antiques & historical repros that cost much more, & I'm proud to add this to my collection.

Quality for the price makes the item a good buy for my use
Prompt shipping. Leather of sheath, belt, and sword handle professionally crafted. Blade true and sharpened. As pictured with exception that mine did not have that apparent gap between the grip and the cross guard which to my mind is an improvement over the pictured configuration. Quality for the price makes the item a good buy for my use. Realistic. I'm using it for medieval costume and for display.

Very nice sword for the price.
My review of the “Medieval Warrior Sword”First off, I received the sword that is listed and shown in the seller’s reference pictures, rather than the less detailed variant that one person received. But, after some looking I found that that other one might be from makeyourownmedieval and is listed as a hand-and-a-half Oakeshott XVa made from carbon EN45 steel. This one, the one I got, could be an earlier variant? This is my first non-mall-bought cheap stainless steel “sword”, I’m by no means an expert and this is my first product review. Measurements like weight and widths are approximations, since I do not have the appropriate tools to take precise readings. I did compare the sword with/without the scabbard with a 3 lb and 5 lb hand weight just to be sure.I’ve divided my review as follows; the sword itself, the blade, the hilt, the scabbard, overall sword plus scabbard measurements, my rating.•The sword itself;Overall is solid and heavy, but no (or little) more than it’s listed weight. It is full tang or at least it feels like it’s full tang. There is no rattling and everything is tight on the one that I received. If I flick the flat of the lower third of the blade with my finger while I hold the sword upside down at the handle, the blade gives off a short bell-like ring that turns into a tuning fork-like hum. While flicking the pommel with my finger, the whole sword will lightly vibrate. Which for me, indicates that the sword is well assembled. The balance point is about 4” from the cross guard, which from what I hear is reasonable for a sword of this length and weight. I find that it also pivots well.Measurements;Sword length= 44, 7/8” or 114cmSword weight = ~3, 3/4lbs or 1.7kg•The Blade; It came well oiled. High carbon steel, probably 1080 as others have said or like other swords at this price range a mix of 1065 spine and 1095 edge as the blade is sturdy, holds an edge and does have some flex, though I won’t be testing how far that it can be flexed before the blade becomes bent.It comes pre-sharpened, a little rough, but you could sharpen it more finely or dull it with a file for some light training. The edge begins at 5” form the hilt and continues till the rounded tip, which you could probably sharpen to a point. The blade is well polished and smoothed but, it and the three fullers aren’t perfect, which is a good sign that they put some elbow grease into filing out the fullers and hammered (machine pounded now-a-days) the blade out rather then factory pouring it into a mode. If it is “handmade”, then that means that my blade is unique and the exact length of my blade might be a little different than someone else’s.I do not know if or how the blade was tempered or quenched. There was no visible maker’s mark or country of origin stamp or inscription.Measurements;Blade length = 35” or 88.9cmBlade depth = ~ 4mmWidth at base= ~2” or 5cmThe tip width is a bit subjective.Width at tip = ~5/8” or ~1.8cm•The Hilt;A magnet will stick to the cross guard and pommel, both are solid and both are polished to a mirror finish. They might be stainless steel. There is however, a gap between the cross guard and the blade that I feel is wider than necessary. The cross guard also seems thicker than I’d imagined.I can not tell if the pommel is peened or screwed on. I asked one of the sellers this and they replied back that it was peened. If it is, then they did a good job of fusing, filing and polishing the tang to pommel, as i do not see any sign of a joining. If it is screwed on, which would make it easier for switching parts out or tightening everything in the future, then they most have used some strong glue to secure it in place because I can’t budge it. So, no pommel throwing for me. Also, the pommel is square rather than hexagonal as it seems to appear in the reference pictures. There is no gap between the grip and the crossguard or between the grip and the pommel like in the reference pictures. Instead they’ve used brass fixtures which match the width of the grip, I think that this is an improvement. The brass fixture near the pommel on mine has a little dent, but that doesn’t bother me. I’m taking that as a sign that it was hand assembled, if it was then I’m glade that I was fortunate enough to receive a sword that was tightly fit together. The grip is covered with real leather. However, in the reference pictures it looks rounded, it is not. Instead the grip is unrounded hexagonally shaped, which makes it uncomfortable for me to use for more than a few minutes. The shape bothers me enough that I might buy a pair of leather shoe laces to wrap around it.The grip plus pommel, is long enough to accommodate 2 large hands though.Measurements;Hilt length total = 11” or 28.9cmHandle length = 9, 1/4” or 23.5cmCross guard width= 9” or 22.9cmGrip length = 5, 3/8” or 13.65cmAverage grip width= 1, 3/8” or3.5cmGrip depth = ~1” or 2.56cmPommel length= 2, 7/8” or 7.3cm•The scabbard; The scabbard is probably the reason for the extra cost when compared to the hand-and-half swords priced at around $110, which look like they have cheaply made scabbards with no belt.A magnet will stick to the metal works, which are mirror polished. It is decently hard, but light weight wood covered with real leather. Unlike the reference pictures, the leather is the same dark color as the leather on the grip is.The belt is also real leather. While sheathed, the sword fits snuggly. And even with the sword sheathed, it sits comfortably around my waist and hips. Without a second belt, I can’t wear it well on my back, which is pointless anyway unless I’m do that for better maneuvering (for example, running), as the blade is too long to drawl or re-sheath from my shoulder. It does come with two replacement leather gorments for the mouth of the scabbard, but they are packaged individually and separately from the scabbard and sword (which are also individually wrapped). I almost didn’t notice them when I gathered up the plastic wrap, so make sure that you thoroughly search the packaging material before recycling. There is a small white sticker on the backside of the scabbard that reads “made in India”.Measurements;Scabbard length= 37” or 94cmWidth at mouth=2, 11/16”or 6.83cmWidth at point = 1, 1/4” or 3.175cmBelt length = ~58.5” or 148.6cmWeight = ~3/4lbs or 0.34kg•Overall sword plus scabbard; While this sword and the less detailed variant are listed as being suitable for reenactments or stage play (like you might see at an Medieval Fair), I bought this one to be a wall hanger since I find it aesthetically pleasing and so I won’t be abusing it beyond maybe cutting up the shipping box that it came in.I’m not too much a fan of the mirrored finishes on all of the metal fixtures, but that does give me room for doing customized etchings of whatever I want, so that’s nice. Also wish that it would’ve came with some letter from the manufacture or seller. Or in a better box. But, what could I expect for this price?Measurements;Length = 46, 7/8” or 119.1cmWeight = ~4, 1/2lbs or 2.04kg•4 out of 5 stars.I deducted 1 star, because of the hard edged hexagonal shape of the grip and the gap between the cross guard and blade. The package arrived on time and the delivery box was in good condition, which is always a concern. I am very happy with my purchase.

WARNING: The sword I received was not the one pictured.
The media could not be loaded. The sword I received had significantly less detail than the one pictured. See my attached photos and video of the item I actually received for more. Overall the sword I received seems to be of decent quality, and if it had been pictured instead of the one in the product photo, I probably would not have been disappointed with the purchase. However, I feel a bit taken on this one.The image shows significant detail on the cross guard and a nicely fashioned pommel. It also explicitly describes 3 fullers when there is only a single fuller on the blade received. For those interested in doing some research, the blade that was shipped to me is the SNSF5103 "1.5 Hand Sword" from SNExports (google it) - the product description on that page ALSO describes a triple fuller, so that's weird, but the rest of the details are more similar to what I actually received. Does give me some confidence about the rest of the description. Hand forged, functional, etc.

I don't know.
The sword is sturdy, has a good weight to it, and overall it's pretty cool. But it couldn't be further from what I ordered and I'm disappointed. Sorry you who made it, it's a fine piece but overall I feel like I didn't get what I baught.

Very disappointing
It was not what I ordered. At first glance it looked ok even though it was not what was advertised. That is a big deal don’t advertise one thing and sell another. When looking closer I realized the leather on the grip was coming off and is not put on right. There is all kinds of problems in the metal it is almost like it was a mold. I found a good amount of rust on the sword and on the scabbard as well. Over all very disappointed and will be looking to send it back. If the company reads this please do better so no one else has to put up with this.Update: I returned the sword do to all the different damage that is in the pictures. I got a full refund I might order again if I can’t find anything else like this and just hope that it is in better condition. When I contacted them I found out that they don’t have any swords that are pictured. And they gave me a full refund.
