Shu Uemura Ultime 8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil, 15.2 Ounce

This was the 1st time I tried the Ultime8 formula. It did not disappoint. These cleansing oils are the best, bar none! I was so disappointed when Shu Uemura closed their beauty stores and left department stores in US and have kept ordering online. I've worn waterproof mascara for many years and this takes it off as well as possible while also not burning your eyes. As a contact lense wearer, it is essential. I don't often post reviews, but people should not about this product, so we can readily still get it in the US online.

Shu Uemura is by far the BEST cleansing oil out there. It's a shame that it's not sold in the US anymore. Cleansing oils are the best solution to saving time while giving your skin the quality and attention it deserves. I hate using make up removers, esp. using cotton to rub off eye make up. First of all, you shouldn't use anything that's going to make you tug at your skin, esp. the skin around your eyes at that unless you want to end up with wrinkles at an early age or more wrinkles than your skin would have naturally developed. So this cleanser is the best solution. I come home with sometimes a long day with heavy make up wear from events and all I have to do is pump some Shu Uemura cleansing oil to my dry palm and start smearing it over my face as is (no water) And EVERYTHING melts off when I start rinsing with water. I've tried DHC, Boscia, and some other cleansing oils when I found that Shu Uemura was no longer available in the states and so far only Boscia comes as a runner up, but still not quite par to Shu Uemura. The price seems steep, but you're getting MUCH MORE than what you paid for. It's an investment.

Great product

Really love this cleansing oil after trying it from a sample with a recent purchase on shuuemura.com. I have oily skin and my skin feels just right after using this oil to clean my face. I did notice that if I apply the product again after the initial wash (to further remove stubborn eye makeup), my skin gets a little dryer after the 2nd rinse. In that case I put on some moisturizer and call it a day. I'm allergic to many skin products and this one surprisingly doesn't irritate me at all. I'm very happy to have discovered this cleansing oil and look forward to getting my full sized bottle in the mail.

I read all the great reviews on their website prior to buying and think they must be fake. This cleanser cannot even remove my mascara that is removable with soap and water. This cleanser is the consistency of water.

The texture and the smell are different from what I brought from the brand before. I have tried for couple times, using cold or warm water, the oil is sticky on my skin, had to use the face cleaner at least twice to remove it. Ready to throw it away.
