Toy Story 3: The Video Game (Playstation 3)

Wow, this game provides hours of entertainment wether it be through the main storyline or in the sandbox town of 'Woody's Roundup'. There are so few games available today that allow you to play multiplayer with someone physically sat next to you and this game provides hope that it's not a concept forgotten by games developers.I'm always happy to suggest it when people are round - and although it will guarantee you a strange look from a room of 20-somethings, once you've been playing it for 10 minutes it's undeniable how appropriate the game is for all age groups and the reception it gets is astounding.A necessity for any gamers library and you can finally defeat the EVIL EMPEROR ZURG in high-definition.

This game is just brilliant. It has so much stuff to do that it keeps the kids (and me) quiet for hours at a time. You can play two player and you get a massive 3d area to basically do as you please and get set missions to do by the characters; as well as many other minigames. A very well thought out and created game.

I recently bought this cheap on here due to a friend recomendation. I don't usually buy film tie in games as from past experience, they always seem to be cheap, shoddy, awful games (Beowulf, Wall E, Pirates of the carribean for EG)Anyway having given this one a go, I have to say that I have not had this much fun with a PS3 game in ages. You have a choice of weather to play the main game or simply go to the "Woodys round up" section, which is basically a sandbox type game where you get to build, customise and police your very own wild west town. There's bags of fun to be had in the sandbox game and there are hundreds of missions to do, ranging from staging and collecting various photo shots, horse racing, stunt car tricks, hunting down bandits and throwing them in jail, mining gold etc, etc. You can also collect various paints and costumes to dress up your town with. If you get bored with the same old people and houses in your town, why not give them a makeover, there's horror, space, wild west, fantasy, futuristic, and all sorts of other themes to choose from. You can even transform your town characters into other Disney Pixar faves such as The Incredibles, Nemo and Dory, Wall E and Eve and the monsters from Monsters Inc. This section of the game gave me over 10 hours of solid fun gameplay.The main game itself is also a good laugh, there are missions straight out of the film, ranging from trawling around andys house to find the phone, so that you can trick Andy into playing with the toys one last time, defeating Dr Porkchop and saving the train, racing and collecting missions in the sunny day care center or defeating Zurg with Buzz Lightyear in space (my personal fave).The graphics are awesome, almost exactly like they are in the film itself and the voice acting is superb. All bar Tom Hanks and Tim Allen return to lend thier voice talents to the game but the 2 main leads are replaced very well (In Hanks case, Woody is voiced by his real life brother Jim, who sounds exactly like him)The controls for the most part are brilliant, although some of the main missions are a little difficult for kids if I'm honest.The one BIG flaw in the game is the missions involving cars. These should be some of the funnest missions in the game, the stunt car tracks had me drooling when I unlocked them only to be completely crushed when I tried to do them. The controls for the cars in the game are probably the WORST car controls of any game that I have ever played.Seriously, it's like controlling a giant rubber ball, one nick off of any of the scenery and the car bounces, flips, twirls and even floats in mid air, in fact it does almost anything that a real car would not do. Racing and pulling stunts and tricks is almost impossible and how a 7 or 8 year old is expected to do any of this is beyond me. Even steering the car is a nightmare, you push a little too hard in either direction and the car will stop and do a complete 360o turn. It's almost as if they had a great team to put this game together and then just dragged in someone who has A: Never driven a car in life and B: Never played a video game before, to make the car controls and scenes.Had the rest of the game not been so great, I would have knocked off a lot more than just one star for this. However, there is so much more to this game than cars and racing.A good solid game with hours of enjoyment and only slightly let down by one aspect. Definitely the best movie tie in game I have played yet though. Although if you are planning on buying this for a young child, please be advised, this game is quite challenging in parts, even for adults, so you may find yourself being dragged away from whatever you're doing, to help get your child past certain parts on a regular basis (Not that this is really a bad thing of course) :-)

While this game is one of my favourites and is very fun, the game cam be very glitchy. Ive had this for xbox 360 and ps3 and both times the trophies have glitched.

bought for my son who is six but we spent all weekend doing the levels for him so he play the open levels very hard for kids need to be 10 plus i have now got to buy a new controller because my son kept throwing it in frustration

Good fun game for the family. not really suitable for kids over 12 as they will most probably become board within a few months . Not as exciting as COD but good clean fun

I really enjoyed playing this with my grandson (who was far better at it than me!!) even grandad enjoyed watching as well so good family fun, one area we didn't like was a spooky one in Woodys roundup, but we avoided it after the first time. great as you can have single or dual players. There seems to be lots of content & different areas you can go to. My other grandchildren can't wait to visit me so they can play as well. All in all a great purchase & would definitely recommend to others. I have had to buy 2 as my grandson liked it so much I let him take it home, it is much better than a lot of these shooting games.
