Great product, I love answering calls and responding to texts from my wrist
I had been needing to replace my fitness tracker, but I wanted a bit more than a movement tracker, and I wanted something that actually looks like a watch rather than a fitness tracker. I didn't like having to wear both.I love that I can customize the look of the watchface - and found that the Samsung Gear 2 app has a LOT of free watch faces (and paid ones too) to download, and I found the perfect one. There are also watch specific apps, and I like using Samsung Health.A couple of notes: this model can function as either a standalone phone (it has an internal SIM) when activated as a wearable with AT&T (by activating or adding to an existing mobile share plan), or it can pair via bluetooth with your existing phone which allows you to make phone calls and send texts on via your phone (if it's within Bluetooth Range and on) without activating it as a separate device. (This is what I am doing.)The R730A has a speaker; the ones that don't have the ability to function as a standalone phone apparently do not.The watch does have GPS.I've been very happy with the battery life and how fast it charges, but I did turn off the "auto on gesture", which turns the watchface on whenever you lift up your wrist as if you were going to check your watch. I instead use the side button to activate the display; I found that it came on a lot more than I expected when I had "auto on" turned on. I use it for about 2 days, and then it charges in about 2 hours. I wear it at night to help keep track of my sleep.I was also pleasantly surprised by the length of the large wristband. I usually have to get longer wristbands because my wrist is large. But I have 3 holes left on the band, so I didn't have order another watchband. One thing that I wish was a little more different: it's not really waterproof; it's actually just water resistant. I haven't worn it in the shower or in the pool and don't plan to. Technically, here is what Samsung says about it: "The Gear 2 is rated IP67, using the Ingress Protection rating system. The dust rating is 6 (highest level of protection), and the water resistance rating is 7 (water-resistant up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes)".If you don't have a Samsung phone, all the features may not be available to you. I would look at the samsung page for more details, particularly about compatibility: http://www.samsung.com/us/explore/gear-s2/ (It doesn't break down device model numbers, but be aware of that there are differences between the 3G/4G capable models (like this one) and others that only have bluetooth.Additional considerations:I have really enjoyed the watch, and I am considering activating it as a "wearable" on my AT&T Mobile Share plan. For $10 a month, it can be a standalone phone, which would be great for taking walks when I don't want to have to carry my phone, but still want to be able to make and receive calls and listen to music. AT&T also has a service called Numbersync which makes calls from a standalone device (such as a wearable or a tablet) send and receive calls using your cell number; I do this with my tablet, and may activate this watch as well. (Really handy for me this week because my Samsung S7 is at the bottom of Lake Belton and I won't get my replacement until Wednesday.)Final thoughts: Functional. Great Battery Life. Bright screen. Good fit. A terrific addition to my technical toolkit - and my life.

Gear s2!
Great watch. This is my first smart watch and got it for $119.00. Got the Gear s2 ATT version. Learning how to use it. Came in 1 day. Samsung packaging. No defects or scratches! Bluetooths with phone Samsung galaxy s6! Makes and recieves calls, text messages, Samsung Health, Facebook (notifications only), Spotify (only control music on phone, cant get it to play music from watch), yelp, directions, email, photos, cool watch faces, samsung pay (havemt tired it yet but set it up), and lots of other apps. Was hoping to be able to see Kindle books and Facebook feed at work but cant get these to show up. If amyone knows how message me. Loving this purchase so far!

Like the device, hate the degenerated battery.
Bought used to replaced previous device I had bought used but had damaged it at work. I track my steps and check for important notification while working with cell in pocket. This Gear 2 arrived with a bad battery, bad as in has to be recharged every 8 hours even when all the social apps and telephone notifications are turned off.

BlueTek sent me a perfectly operating watch, in great condition.
I was on the fence about a purchase reading through a variety of 2 and 5 star reviews and seeing some quality issues. I purchased the black, Gear S2, AT&T model. While I haven't worked with the 3G yet, the connection to the phone, condition and reliability of the watch has been awesome. I made sure to pay attention who I purchase from and selected BlueTek, who offers a 90 day warranty on their purchases. The watch also came with a factory charger, which was a nice surprise. One week later, still works great. I noticed the battery barely made it through my first day, but now that I have made some setting changes, have become more familiar with navigation, I can easily get a full day out of the watch, with at least 30% left, late night. Condition was great and I couldn't be happier. At least from a BlueTek perspective, I'd definitely recommend a refurbished S2. I'm paired with a Galaxy S6 Active. Flawless.
