Wheel Front 700 x 25, WEI-AS23X, Silver, QR, QR Alloy Hub, 14g UCP, 36H

While not in the same class as a good hand-built wheel, this is perfect for jobs such as my conversion of my old Schwinn Worldfor 700c. The hub is very smooth, rim surprisingly light, and all around, a tremendous improvement over the old steel 27 inchwheels that the bike had originally. Would recommend for anyone needing an inexpensive replacement wheel. Not suitablefor racing, but it does seem stout enough for light touring with a heavy old bike, and definitely good for commuter service.I am looking for something as good in 650a, for an old 3 speed that would be a much nicer ride with alloy rims.

If you view this for what it is, a low cost replacement part, it is a great deal. Light enough, double walled, smooth rolling, and mine came fully trued up.I've been using this rim for about 3 weeks, 360 miles worth of commuting, and I'm very happy with what I got for $20...if my local bike shop carried it, it would retail for $50+, I am certain.

This front wheel appears to be sturdy and well made, at least it hasn't dented or broken spokes in a few months of aggressive riding through potholes and bumps. The 700x25c rim fits 700x35c tires nicely. Truing was not needed but the hub did need a bit of tightening. A quick release skewer was included. Rim tape was not included, neither was a Schrader-to-Presta rim adapter, but those are cheap and easily found on Amazon.

The wheels look good. After adjusting, they roll smoothly. Bearings were a bit too tight when shipped. I was satisfied until the front brakes started grabbing once on each revolution. On inspection, found the cracked weld seam. Even with inexpensive wheels, I expect more than 6 months. I weight 180 lbs and ride on paved surfaces, so no abuse here. Seller offered partial refund, but shipping would be on me. Cost more to ship than the partial refund. Save yourself some trouble. Spend a few more dollars and get a decent quality wheel.

Great front wheel! I also got a matching rear wheel as well. Rolls true out of the box and allows for a wider tire at lower psi making the ride more comfortable. Money very well spent on these wheels.

It's ok....no complaints. To get an equivalent of what I had, Shimano 600, I would have to get a set and spend from $80 up. This one is fine.

Product arrived 13 days after ordering day, but that was less than the estimate that was given during the ordering. shipment came intact, the wheel looked great and ready to install, in fact I installed the tire and the inner tube using my hands only. For the price I give it 5 stars.

Very decent training wheel, 100 miles on them! And they still come nowhere near my brake pads. PS I repacked the hub's as soon as I got them cause I found they had little, low quality grease. Beware not to damage the dust covers for you will find no replacements and will have to bend them back to shape.
