I got this to replace the original one I got when I first bought the tablet. My old one was the version that used the AAAA battery (yes, four As). They were hard to find. I like the convenience of the recharging pen.This pen also writes so much better than the old one. My old pen would skip as I drew or wrote with a. This one is much smoother and the lines are more consistent.Overall, I can’t find anything that I could say is not great with it.

The stylus that came with my surface wasn't charging. This is a great alternative, with the price being under $50, it tracks well and the nub on the end doesnt scratch or drag. I use it for drawing and writing, and it communicated with programs beautifully.

These people advertised it as a Microsoft pen, it is NOT. They have since put the right name of the pen on their selling page for that reason alone I would not recommend this product and it does not function like the genuine Microsoft product.
