NECAPrometheus, Series 2: David 8, 18 cm Deluxe Figure (NEC0NC51347)

Being a big Prometheus and Fassbender fan, I was none the less a bit reluctant to purchase this, but the inner geek in me won out!!The detailing on the figure is excellent, from the suit itself to the weyland corp patches this was a quality piece of kit. Minor cons were a little bit of discolouring and a slight difference in the facial features, apart from that I was impressed. I was also impressed with the delivery, only 2 days between ordering and receipt. All in all, a worthy purchase for any fan of the film.

Excellent detailing - actually looks like Michael Fassbender. Minor niggles - it is almost impossible to get him to hold the device he arrives with and his helmet is a bit time consuming to get on and off - and he is not awfully stable when standing. That said, I love it!

My wife always refers to my movie figure collection as my 'toys' but I know that she appreciates the quality and likeness of many of these 'toys'. I didn't even know that Fassbenders 'David 8' was being released but I'm so glad that NECA decided to do him. I loved the movie and I loved Fassbenders portrayal of David 8, so this figure was a must have.The detailing in the suit is incredible with the Weyland badges so detailed that you can actually read what's written on them. The likeness to Michael Fassbender is excellent too, you can definitely tell it's him. The big bonus is that the back of the figure is in meticulous detail too with his backpack, tubes etc all in place. The whole suit is incredibly detailed.The cool thing about this figure is the helmet! I have mine on my cabinet shelf with the helmet in place and it just looks way cool, just like a mini Fassbender from the Prometheus movie.This is not a 'toy' for kids but if you're into lifelike movie figures, this one is a must have.Thank you NECA - back to what you do best with this one!

"...das es weh tut.....". Diese Szene aus "Lawrence von Arabien" scheint den etwas undurchsichtigen David von Prometheus zu faszinieren.Der Synthet nimmt etwas die Rolle ein, wie Bischof von Alien 2. Auf der Abbildung ist gar nicht zu sehen, das die Figur mit Zubehör kommt:Weltraumhelm, Laptop und einen "Wechselkopf" wo er eine Pilotenhaube trägt mit Namensschild.Die Figur ist sehr schön gestaltet, und wer mit dem Film etwas anfangen konnte, wird sich über diese Sammlerfigur freuen.Fazit: ganz klare Empfehlung..!

Whats there to say... I'm a fan of David 8 from the film, the action figure and the actor Michael Fassbender. This figure graphed and sculpted by NECA in great likability to the actor is amazing. From his hair, nose, mouth, and jaw it looks all so spot on!The accessories are nice, including the flashlight, Astro-helmet and second Astro-head with the same facial structure.It's a very life like figure and I'm proud to own it. The David 8 action figure is as good a resemblance of a character in Prometheus than the other figures in the line. Has good articulation on the head, legs, abs, feet, wrist, etc. And in conclusion, I recommend him for collectors, he's awesome!

Quality is really bad

This is my first Neca figure and its what I expected for the most part. I have a few pet peeves about this figure, though they're consistent with most figures of this type. The body sculpt is fantastic. However the face is a little off, mostly with the paint job on the hair and the eyes. Also I don't understand why they put peg holes in the feet if they don't include a stand; I wish they would just put one in the package.But for the Neca line it has an alright resemblance to Michael Fassbender, and the articulation is pretty good but somewhat stiff at the elbows.And I thought it was pretty cool that it game with a second head specifically for the helmet, which fits well. Overall I would recommend it.
