This brand is the best brand of food colouring for cakes by a million miles. It’s so vibrant and it doesn’t take much to create a really impressive effect. The supermarket gels are a waste of time and money in comparison - often the colouring is barely noticeable once the cake is baked. And this pack were sold together as a great price because they aren’t usually this cheap so overall I am very happy!

These are by far the best food colouring I have ever used. Easy to use and you don't need much to create really vibrant colours. I have always struggled to make blue and red cakes using farm fresh eggs- they always turn out green and orange, but these colours really hold. They didn't bleed into each other while baking and made no impact on the taste of the cake, plus being gel not liquid they don't impact the texture either.

As a vegan, it can be a struggle to find a suitable red food colouring which is what first attracted me to this pack. I was also after some food colouring gels rather than liquid as this can effect the consistency of the recipe.When you open each new colour you need to snip the plastic off at the end but the lids screw back on so can be used again and again.These were very easy to use and you don't need a lot of colouring to make quite a difference. I would recommend that you start with a few drops or small squirt before going in too heavy, you can always add more. I love that you can make the colours as as strong or pastel toned as you need and I've not noticed it change the flavour of my bakes at all.I've mainly used this on buttercream icing but have used it in some cake batter too. I've had no problems at all and will definitely go back to this product again.According to the seller, this product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans but may contain traces of milk. (This tends to mean there's no milk in the ingredients or the manufacturing process but they cannot guarantee there hasn't been any cross contamination. Something that has to be stated in case of people with severe allergies.)
