This is the best dog home
Hands down the best dog “home” I have purchased ever. I love the center peak style giving more room to comfortably move around. The large size is very big so definitely measure before making your purchase. It was easy to put together took about 1 hour from start to finish.

Good value, horrible assembly
Difficult to assemble. Some of the holes didn't line up properly. After getting some new holes into it, it does hold sturdy. Durable little pet jail. But the assembly was atrocious is why the 3 stars. It is a good value.

Highly recommended
Wonderfully constructed, easy to assemble, love the added wheels for easy movement. All in all, a fantastic product.

Solid construction but not without some faults
Packaging - very well packaged to prevent damage or scratches. Parts, tools & instructions were all easy to find and use. Instructions were not overly complicated but there were a couple things they could have elaborated on (need to look closely at the pictures to see which way certain pieces go to avoid putting them upside down or inside out).Construction - Kennel is heavy compared to most plastic crates or wire-walled collapsable kennels. Can use wheels or stops on the 4 legs which is a nice option. All the pieces fit together properly except the hinges for the 2 top “roof” pieces - one of the hinges was welded a little off from center and had to be bent out a little to insert it properly (not a major issue, just informing). Also, some of the welds are messy (clumps of metal/solder where it should have been ground down for a smooth junction).Design - this is definitely dog jail, which is good for super chewers. It's possible a couple of slats could have been removed or more spaced, allowing the kennel to be more open without losing containment or animal safety. My biggest concern is the floor: you have the normal large flat plastic pan that slides into the kennel but nothing is securing it. It can free-slide back and forth, as well as rotate out of position. Also, there is a wire mesh shelf/floor that sits over the plastic tray. This mesh is not comfortable for pet paws, and it flexes as they walk on it, which they don’t like. This is not some temporary crate for rescues or strays at a pound where they need to be able to do their business/eat and be cleaned up easily, this is a permanent dog box for your pet at home. I can't imagine leaving my dog locked up long enough to need that option. I will need to add a flat piece of wood that can cover this mesh and add some stability to the floor OR use a really thick blanket or dog pad to cover it - just using one of our normal dog blankets isn’t working. Lastly, the things to lock the door are a little on the small side for a door of this size. Given the rugged material, I think one larger, center-mounted hinged lock would have been fine. The 2 small ones will be hard to find in the dark and a little on the “fiddly” side.Hinged roof sections are nice and allow easy access to clean, add/remove toys and change out blankets or pads. Lastly, unlike most wire mesh kennels that have a door on 2 sides, this one only has the one main door. It is very wide and easy to use but it would be nice if you could pick which side you open it from so it would be more flexible as to where you set it up.So far my dogs are “skeptical” about it - still trying to get used to it because it’s new. My 2 tan dogs are medium-sized and 50lbs. They can get in it and have plenty of room to move around and stand up. There's even room for a friend (our 35 lb black pup joined in the fun), though not necessarily recommended. If you’re looking for a permanent dog kennel that will not need to be moved or set up/torn down frequently, and you’re pet isn't bothered by the mesh floor, then it’s a very solid kennel.

Good quality, but hard to assemble
I am giving it a 5 star because the actual product, once complete, is super cute and uses well made materials. It took about a week for my dog to fully accept and transition into the new "house", but he now will go and lay down inside it on his own account.I give the ability to assemble and the instruction book a 3 star. It was quite difficult to put together. Using the instructions, I could not figure out a few things and took some "common sense thinking". I couldn't get the kennel built if I assembled the walls in the order the booklet told me to. Once the front and back were put on, I couldn't get the sides to insert on the bottom part of thr kennel. It was too tight! And I didn't want to use a rubber mallet to pound it in. After messing with it for quite some time, I took it all apart and started over. I found it easiest to attach the back first, rotate the kennel accordingly and attach the side walls. Then I laid it back wall down and attached the front. It was quite a struggle building it and it ended up taking me nearly 3 hours to build. Thank goodness it had attachable wheels as it's pretty heavy, so I was able to wheel it in my room.

Wouldn’t recommend
Scuffs and scratches out of the box, some holes didn’t line up with each other and because of that I can’t even put it together and didn’t come with the white chalk like it says

XL will not fit through a standard door
I found that out the hard way, lol.It took less than an hour to assemble. All parts were present (except chalk?).Instructions were easy to understand and pictures were detailed enough the if you pay attention it takes one shot.I ordered this as sometimes I'll get stray kittens that need housed temporarily. I thought this was the perfect size, I thought the bigger the better. Nope. Not in this case.Fortunately you have the option of wheels or steady legs at the bottom and I chose wheels. After building it I wanted to put it on the porch temporarily but it's less than 1/2 inch too wide. I even took my standard door off the hinges and it still didn't fit through. The quality and build are great and the ability to open it from above to grab your pet is really nice. The wheels are a major plus and they have brakes. 2 of them do.I'll be disassembling this and reassembling it outdoors for future use.In spite of the large size, I do not regret ordering it and stand on 5 stars.
