Brilliant Light Switch
These switches are fantastic. Quite easy to setup and very cool looking.I did have an issue with some 4W LED sport lights where the one light would glow dimly when the switch was off. I changed the LED spot lights for a 5W version and this fixed the problem.I used LAP Cosmoseco Fixed Fire Rated LED Downlight Satin Nickel 5.8W 450lm (106PP) from Screwfix. One issue or just a note. The WIFI router needs to be powered up when you apply power to them for the first time (once you have linked the switches to your router) otherwise the switch can't do a time sync and it defaults to UTC which can be 1 hour our in the UK. Which is only an issue if you use the built in time triggered events as I have done.Would I recommend these switches - yes. I have and will be buying more.Oh one last thing, you need a neutral wire for the switch.

Worth considering
It appears to do what I want it to do , BUT , it was a pain in the neck to get the tuya smartlife app to find it . The touch panel could be a little large . The font looks dated . On the plus side it has plenty of features

Happy Daughter
Just redecorated my daughters room, I was looking at normal dimmer switches (she likes subdued light when not doing homework or makeup) and stumbled upon this.£600+ spent on new carpet, furniture etc. Spent 2 days painting and wallpapering, emptying the entire room and then putting it all back together again. This £32 dimmer switch, which links to phone, can turn light on full at same time her alarm sounds, and she can control brightness sat in bed on phone or with Alexa has ticked all the boxes - dad of year for 2 days grafting... no (although she does appreciate it), light switch... yes.Very easy to wire, fitted in existing back box and app was easy to to set up.Looks good too, will probably buy more based upon experience so far. Normal light switches suddenly appear mundane. None of the negatives in reviews that made me anticipate a quick return, even had the volt meter out 🙈.Single switch, one light - just needed to use neutral wires that were in a separate choc box, on the basic switch it replaced which only supported live switching.

Smart dimmer switch, but lacking basic features
I bought a few dimmer switches as part of my home rewire. The devices themselves are aesthetically pleasing and responsive to touch and my electrician was so impressed he would recommend them for future work. The dimmer can act as an an on/off switch with the press of a button, use a slider to adjust the brightness from 0-100%, or have four preset levels you can assign. You can even rename these levels like I have done, setting a 20% level as 'Low'.While it's a good product unfortunately, it lacks features that seem to be advertised but missing. For example the dimmer is unable to display 'Kwh' in the top right corner, an option the switch variant only has. Also, the preset levels are titled with the % symbol e.g. 30%, 50%, etc. but when you want to rename these presets there is no way to type in the % symbol. This lack of features has dropped it a few stars but if they are able to release a software update I'd be willing to change the score.Edit: It's now been over a week and noticed another niggle. When the LCD panel is off in standby mode it is silent, as soon as you turn the panel on with a touch the device emits a high pitched noise, almost like the sound of a high RPM fan. It can be heard within about 1 metre distance to the device. There is no solution to prevent this.

Does not work with UK wiring
Product looks great, unfortunately does not work with UK wiring. Can't see anyone being able to retrofit this, unless complete rewiring.

Good value, easy to install and works seamlessly with Alexa
On my house, which is a new-build, these were easy to install, but beware you MUST have a neutral wire at the wall socket to use these, and older UK houses will not have this. It works well with my LED lighting (transformer type) and was easy to set up with Alexa using the app. The display is adequate if not great, and dimming works well, via the touchscreen or the app or Alexa. Display can be set to turn off completely at night, which you probably want for a bedroom. Not exactly cheap, but decent value for under £40.

Simple and rather stylish
This was one of those purchases where I thought “this is either going to be great, or it’s going to be absolute rubbish”. I’m glad I took a chance because it really is very good indeed, easy to set up, and smoother control for LED lamps than the analogue dimmer it replaced.Just bear in mind that if you’re replacing a regular switch that there’s a lot more gubbins behind the faceplate, so it may be a tight fit unless you have a deep box to fit to, or you also buy a spacer.
