Fantastic.
Bought this after buying another brand which epically failed and didn't do anything to the paint however this stuff wow what can I say works fast and really gets through the paint in no time definitely coming in handy on my bike project. Thanks

Works well, needs a lot of spray to strip.
Would use again! Used to strip an old typewriter. You essentially spray it on to form a thick gel. Wait a good few hours to a day. Then scrape/scrub off the gel and bubbled/peeled paint. Then apply more gel to clear parts which have been missed - this formulation doesn't rust bare metal like some of the others do.Cons1. Takes a lot of spray can to strip a small area - increasing the cost.2. I had to reapply the coating 3-4 times to strip a 50x50cm piece of metal. Leaving 12hours or more between coats means this is very time consuming.

Works Well On Aluminium Herbert Terry Anglepoise
Pros:1) Price paid Β£8.50 - 24/03/20242) Amount of product for job; floorstanding anglepoise lamp made of aluminium, brass & copper. Perfect quantity3) Reasonably safe compared to a lot of products I used 20 years agoCons:1) Latest price: Β£10.95 - 06/04/20232) Aerosol cloggs up and constantly needs clearing3) Didn't work on all paint - especially original post-WW2 base coat (lead-based?). This was a bit of a problem on the original aluminium lamp shade.Overall, and depending on application, this worked well for the money, taking off old paint with ease from an aluminium extruded item. Considering the constant clogging and inability to attack all paints, I wouldn't spend more than I did and certainly not the current price at the time of writing of Β£10.95. 3.5 π s

Eats through paint like beast !!
I used this to refer my alloy wheels.I initially didn't have much luck using other paint strippers to get off multiple layers of old paint. The alloys had been used as drift wheels prior to my purchase and previously referred by a third party. They just sprayed paint directly over the original alloy paint which left the dried paint that needed removing full of drips and wrinkles (somehow).I found the best way to use this product was to first rough up the surface of the paint with a wire brush or sandpaper to allow the best absorption into the paint itself. Then give it a good spray with this product and watch it bubble away. ABSOLUTELY DO THIS IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA & make sure you use suitable protective equipment - this stuff is highly corrosive. After not a very long wait at all the paint has started to turn into a soft gel like substance. A quick jet wash later and the vast majority of the paint was removed. This stuff worked far far better than any of the other paint removers I used, I wouldn't hesitate to use again.WORD OF WARNING.Do not jet wash near any other cars or any other paint and the bits of paint that flick off while doing this if left on the surface of other paint would strip that paint easily leaving spots and marks where the paint has eaten through the other surface. I noticed one piece land on and old body panel and left it a few minutes to see what happened. I was surprised that even after being washed off the alloy it had the ability to still keep going.Summary: Great product, very powerful.. use with care and read all instructions thoroughly.

Only suitable for modern paint
Really surprised how bad this paint stripper was.I had five items that were all painted at different times in their life with different varieties of black paint. One what appeared very recently, the rest with unknown vintage upto anything like forty years.Anyway, having followed the instructions and "liberally" applied and left for "15 minutes", well, the one item I know that was of recent paint it worked brilliantly on, but the other four items one it started to make the paint soft, but not to a point you could reliably scrape the paint off and the other three items it didn't even touch it. I re-applied a number of times on this four items and eventually gave up as I had already ordered my back-up. So.........Having used Starchem Synstryp for the last fifteen years (and only ordered this can as it was next day delivery) I had fortunately also ordered another gallon of this and when it arrived, I applied it and all four items the paint bubbled up in minutes and was removed in no time. So, sadly you pay for what you get. This stuff next delivery you had might as well throw it in the bin, or, order proper stuff like Starchem at a much higher price (and just have to wait for it) and "et voila!" the job gets done.

Worked Well
I used this to remove paint from my airsoft weapons and it worked quite well over a couple of coats. The first did take off quite a bit of the paint but made most of it like a thick liquid layer which spread on the metal so I aggitated it a bit with a stiff plastic brush, cleaned it off with kitchen towel and applied another coat which cleaned it off. There were some small pieces that appeared unaffected by it however they did just come off with a little scrub or scrape with my nail (I had gloves on).All in all I'm happy with it. I haven't used paint stripper before but it felt an easy process. One more tip! Don't spray it near other plastics etc. It got on my shed as I was sheltering myself from the wind and it's damaged the top layer - don't tell the Mrs :D
