I have put this heron in my garden to deter the pigeons! They don't like it very much, which is good! It was easy to assemble and I move it around every now and then so they think it's real!! It does look the part!! The colours are those of a heron as well as the size!!

After last 1 got broken in high winds and a real heron got away with 5 fish bought this one, very sturdy on its on but has now been cemented down. Very lifelike and a pretty addition to my pond, well worth the money.

Great for scaring off a real Heron!! So good that I bought a second one!!!Originally bought it as a Heron attached the fishes and somehow through the netting, snatched one and ate it!One draw back is the ground spike which is a plastic tube, it is rather flimsy hence only use in soft ground.If you using it near a fish pond, make sure it farther away so that the fish cannot see it. Also move it to a different place every now and again. Found a bonus use too, it even scared next door cats away from the pond!!!

We had a Heron try to take our goldfish, despite netting and setting the water gadgets on earlier to shinner the water. We placed the plastic Heron on the pond side. However the Heron the following morning landed in the garden and walked up beside the plastic one. The quality of the fake is good and worth the money. But you must be mindful this may not be the deterent to your local bird, he'll bent on eating your fish.
