My wife and I purchased this train for our 5 yr old Grandson for Christmas. He’s obsessed with all trains, especially my Lionel which only comes out during the holidays. He’s very aware of intricate design and details, (especially for a 5 yr old!) This train was a HUGE hit for him! From the steam that was released on top, and the sides, to the lighted passenger car, he loved it! The quality is great, attention to detail, and price, make this a must have for any train enthusiast. Highly recommend.

I ordered the one with the remote control but the box did not come with a remote control.It would have been nice to have it. Is there a way to buy the remote control separately?

The media could not be loaded. I didn’t tealize that this train has so many features! It goes forward OR reverse. It lights and has a headlight. It sounds like an actual train steaming down the tracks, blowing its whistle and ringing its bell. Best of all- it actually blows steam from the stack as well as. from under the engine car-sorry it just doesn't show up on the video. It’s only plastic but looks like it’s metal-wheels and all. It is simple to recharge the battery w/the included USB. I’m SO PLEASED!

The train has many functions for the price. Easy to put the track together. The locomotive has steam (actually water vapor) coming from the drive cylinders as well as the smoke stack. A light can be turned on in the passenger car.ConsThe battery could last a little longer.Would like to have add on options. Such as additional track and cars.

This train set is a great gift and fun for the kids to play with during the holidays. It was easy to setup and has different track configurations that you can use. It's nice that it comes with an extra rechargeable battery that you can use to swap out so you can continue to use.I didn't try the steam feature, sounds neat but I didn't want to deal with it. The lights in the passenger car and engine are fun, the kids really enjoyed playing with it and adding their other toys to play with.For the price this is well worth it, great set and happy to have it for future holidays.

We loved this train. It did take it a few minutes to produce the steam, but once it did it was perfect.

Quality is decent, not the best but also not terrible. The smoke feature is cool but it only works sometimes.
