An authentic miracle
We had a lean-to made on the side of our house to make the space more usable. For the roof we chose clear plastic sheets, great for luminosity but awful when sun is out, creating very high temperatures. This space was getting way over 30 C even when temp outside was only about 20C. In the summer over 40C was the norm.I installed a couple of large fans running on each side of the lean-to, both fed off a temperature driven switch and they kicked off very often - very noisy as well (and using energy to do so). So the problem hadn't disappeared...I saw this paint on Amazon whilst looking for a solution to this problem and decided to give it a go.Absolutely incredible! It dramatically changed the space to a very usable one instead of being too hot.Yes it does cut the light when compared to clear plastic as it was before but still lets in enough light to be functional. I never heard my automatic fans working again.Temperature now is rarely going over 24-25C.Also the paint goes a very long way when its being applied. We only applied one coat.Highly recommended.

Great alternative for removing glare
Have painter 2 layers and 1 layer of emulsion at the moment and really pleased. We have a south facing conservatory that the previous owners added onto the living room so this makes a great, cheap alternative while we save up to get it knocked down and a proper extension built.

Two coats, and a genuinely changed house.
Our conservatory is part of the house rather than attached to the side. You could feel the temperature drop whilst the paint was going on. It's only been on a year so far but no signs of flaking anywhere on the paint. I would recommend to anyone!

Really surprised
I had read all the write ups on the paint and had my doubts about how effective it would be. Wow, how wrong could I have been. I have given my polycarbonate roof 2 coats of this paint and it has made the conservatory liveable in the daytime now.I started painting the first coat on the outside of the roof which is 18ft x 10ft, and it took me about an hour and a half. By the time I reached the end, the paint on the first panels had completely dried, so I put the second coat on straight away. In under 3 hours of careful work I now have a useable room even in the afternoon sun.Yes, it does reduce the amount of light that comes through, but I estimate this to be about 25-30%. Very good value IMO. I wish I had done this when I first moved into the house.A little tip, wash the outside of the roof with sugar soap before applying the paint so there is no dirt or grease on there.

TAKE NOTE OF PICTURES!!
I have a polycarbonate roof on the conservatory which was allowing so much sun and heat to come in making the room unbearable. I ordered this product after reading the wonderful reviews, I noted that for some people the product was patchy but I thought that was human error not product. It says on the tin to put the paint on with a roller and it dries to a translucent finish, this does NOT keep out the heat or the sun and another coat even a third is needed which gives the finish a very bad patchy GREY finish. As soon as it dried cracks appeared in the paint and then I realised that I should have prepared the surface with a base paint then this product. If you intend to use this paint first cut all the corners and edges with a brush then apply a base paint and then the solar paint with a roller but be prepared for a patchy finish. I do not recommend this paint and I will search for something with an even cover.

Makes a noticeable difference!
I inherited an old polycarbonate roofed conservatory when I bought my house. I could not go into it during the day when the sun was out as it got so hot it melted my candle. I can't afford to replace the roof and at thr moment don't want to. I didn't want to pay for ceiling blinds either. This paint is designed to be applied to the outside of the roof but I can't access one side as it's so close to my neighbour. Other reviews said they had painted the inside.I've done this and yes, the end result doesn't look great because the paint dries quickly and is sort of like a chalk paint. If you try to go over a part you've just painted it can take it off! I found that if I aimed for the longest strokes this made it look less terrible. To be honest this paint works! I can go into the conservatory without feeling the heat wall. I am so happy about that alone, I don't really look up when I am in there so don't care what it looks like. I did one coat and the difference it has made is amazing!
