I dropped my ROG Ally (twice in about 10 minutes) and the right stick started drifting all the way left. I was nervous to send this into Asus due to the horror stories I've heard about their RMA procedures. There was also tiny crack on the case where I dropped it.Install is a little tricky and intimidating for the first time opening up the machine, but I didn't run into any problems. I also added the cooling back plate mod while I had it open (highly recommended), this also fixed the tiny crack. These joysticks feel better quality than the stock ones. I may end up replacing the other at some point when I upgrade the SSD NVMe.I would suggest taking the time to watch several YouTube tutorials before getting into it and make sure you do it in a static free zone. Probably not a job for beginners, due to how expensive these little machines are.

It's exactly what it says on the box. Comes with the tools you need, works as well as you'd hope for a product this cheap, and hasn't broken yet. So, yeah, good stuff. I should probably buy some spares for when they eventually do give out, as all standard potentiometer joysticks eventually do.

Worked great. I bought an rog ally with a broken joystick from the store and this kit was a quick fix without having to ship the ally back or deal with warranty stuff

Doesn’t work

This kit is awesome. It comes with everything to replace your analog sticks on the ROG ally. I had the ally opened and the sticks replaced within about 15 minutes. Look up a YouTube video, and follow along. For a pointer, the ally has a sensor in it, so if you don’t tighten the back screws, it won’t allow it to turn on… I spent about 10 minutes thinking I had bricked my Ally, but after some searching I found this out. Also, you have to plug it in to be able to start it back up. As far as the sticks go, they seem just like the OEM ones, but time will tell how they last. If I have any issues, I’ll update this review.

Joysticks feel smooth and high quality. But I especially love that it comes with all of the tools I need for the replacement. The tweezers and plastic pick are very useful. Happy with the purchase!
