Spreader with a Real Knife Edge
I'd say this one sets the baseline for a "Sandwich Knife", which seems to be defined as really a spreader with a good cutting edge. Other knives use the term, but either are not too good at the spreading, or not too good (or dismal) at the cutting. This one works, it a good sized knife really with its 5.5" blade it can dig pretty deep into a jar if you use it that way, and it can cover a fairly large surface while spreading. The knife is made of good steel and has a very good scallop style serrated edge that works great for bread and most sandwich items. The blade is stiff enough to dig into things and hold up for years and not require sharpening for a few years or a decade. I prefer asian style knives for most kitchen cutting tasks, but this one I think sets the benchmark for a sandwich knife if you require one for the duties of both a spreader and a knife. A really nice one knife solution. The standard Wusthof handle is not my favorite but it's durable and comfortable enough. There might be better ones, or prettier ones, but it seems the less expensive ones fall far short compared to this one. Some of the more expensive ones are too wide or too large, or just look pretty but don't work as well for the task. Another approach is to use a good spreader and a good knife, but this is convenient especially for a cabin, camping, or a quick lunch or breakfast with minimal cleanup.Over all if you need a spreader that has a very good knife edge and can hold up to heavy use or last a life time this is a good choice.

Great sandwich knife
Perfect for making sandwiches. Easy to dip and spread condiments and then slice meats and the assembled sandwich. Excellent weight and balance.

I loved it!
This is larger, solid steel, cuts well, strong to pick up even hard butter and cut bread similarly to a bread knife. I loved this so much I am ordering two more and don’t ask me why? I have bought so many sandwich knives recently. This was more expensive so I just ordered one. For me it is worth it.

Crazy Sharp!
This knife is awesome; absolutely be careful because this is the sharpest knife I own right out of the box. Does everything its intended to and much more; even though its shorter than a carving knife I literally carved our prime rib with it last night because its so sharp….

My Favorite Knife
I recently upgraded my kitchen knives and ordered several Wustofs over several months. I love them all but this classic sandwich knife is my favorite. It is extremely sharp with a well balanced handle. It feels very nice in your hand with a comfortable weight. Will cut through any sandwich like butter. We are frequently creating sandwiches or cutting bread in my kitchen. The other advantage is it great for spreading condiments and cutting thin slices of cheese or butter. Although it is a bit pricey, it has been well worth it. After all the years of having old, not so great knives to work with, my new collection of really great knives is such a blessing. This one gets used almost everyday, sometimes multiple times. Highly recommend any Wusthof knife, but especially this one.

Every kitchen should have one
Now that's what I'm talking about. This knife is my go to knife in the kitchen especially for making sandwiches. I can slice through tomatoes and then scoop up a good portion of mayo. At the end, I can cut the sandwich in two. Well made of quality materials. Very sturdy and will last a long time (I predict). It's a bit pricy at $100. Geeze, a hundred bucks is 1/4 tank of gasoline in California. If they lower the price to $60, on this excellent Sandwich Knife with Serrated Blade, I'll purchase a bunch for gifts for friends and relatives.

Almost a five - Wusthof quality... but it is HUGE!
I love the idea. And if I were a pro I am sure I would like the size. But I was SHOCKED - ITS HUGE!I know the blade size is listed, but I have this 5.5" next to an 8" Chef knife. Make sure you buy the giant size peanut butter or you wont get the blade into the top of the jar. PS - the way they did the serrated blade is amazing. SUPER SHARP!!!
