The construction feels sturdy but has some 'give'. The silicone is soft touch with curved raised sides and you can secure your baby using the strap .The mat is wipeable and would be easy to clean after use.I ordered this for my stepdaughter as she said it would be perfect for her partner when he is nappy changing.I was happy with the quality overall, it's priced at £47 at the time of review which is a bit pricey but not unreasonable. This is quite a big mat and has a strap for safety, although I don't think a baby would be left unsupervised so the strap may not be necessary. It's sturdy and its bucket shape makes it harder for a wriggling baby to roll off. It cleans well. It's not particularly attractive to look at, just dark gray, but it does the job.
