This chef's hat and apron combo is functional, adjustable and fun! It's great for virtually any kitchen.I actually used this for a Halloween costume and painted the apron and hat with washable ink, and it was a great hit. Now I intend to use it in my kitchen for cooking at parties and out on the patio for grills. I might even have my granddaughter paint it with her own design!The apron has an adjustable neck strap, and there are pockets on the front deep-enough for utensils or other cooking necessities. The hat has an elastic (fixed) closure that allows for different head sizes -- which is very useful, as many hats without this don't seem to fit me very well.It's made well with solid stitching, reinforced straps, and comfortable material.All-in-all, a very nice accessory, whether used in your kitchen, as part of a costume, or out on the lawn for an afternoon BBQ.Highly recommended!

Working in an elementary school, lunch duty is part of my job description. Monitoring kindergarten kids, we are always looking for ways to install proper behavior and for the following of procedures by these 6-year-olds. With this set, a friendly competition has been set in place. The most “well-behaved” class earns the honors of hanging the chef hat outside of its classroom for all to see. The class earning the most “wins” for the week, earns the Top Chef apron to display for the next week. The students and teachers love it!Adding the graphics of Top Chef to the pure-white accessories was simple. The poly-cotton material is durable with the stitching secure throughout. Both items measured as described. Although a bit stiff, they did soften up after washing. The apron strap adjusts easily and the elastic band on the hat holds firmly. The chef's hat part of this set is a good quality and is well-starched to hold its shape. However, it is large and cannot be adjusted to a smaller size. It does have an elastic insert to allow it to stretch, so it could work for someone with a larger head, but not a small one.The apron, too, is disappointing. The best part of the apron is the neckband adjuster, which is metal and slides easily. The fabric feels cheap and scratchy. The apron itself is too narrow and actually did not go around my body. Since I'm a bit on the plump side, I asked my rail-thin 20-something son to try it. It didn't go around his body either. In fact, it's so small that I'm going to give it to my pre-teen niece, as it's just about the right size for her.

This is a cute costume; it’s simple and can be dressed so many ways. The material is a decent thickness, not flimsy. The hat is really big, but still has a piece of elastic in the back so it will stretch if needed. I wish there was a way to adjust it to also make it more fitted. The apron has 2 front pockets and the neck loop is adjustable. The waist tie straps are a good length, and once tied they stay in place.

Got this for a Chef Boyardee costume and it fit the part perfectly. The sizing was perfect and love that we can still use around the house now that Halloween is over. It has pockets for holding items in the apron as well. Hat is not too big but does have an small stretchy band in the back.

Great construction on both the apron and chef hat. Originally ordered the set for a halloween costume, but the apron is really nice quality and washes well, so we are continue to use it in the kitchen on a day-to-day basis.
