Easy install, quick fix for drained HP spectre laptop battery. looks identical to the original that I threw out.

I bought this for my HP Omen 15 laptop. My specific laptop model was not listed, but the battery model was. Included with the battery is a set of screwdrivers and what looks like a plastic guitar pick. The latter helped to pry open the bottom panel of the laptop without scratching it. The battery worked right out of the box. I didn't have to calibrate the battery or perform any troubleshooting tasks to maintain an updated battery status. It worked like the original battery did.

Did as support files indicate, all different approaches fail. Battery shuts down at 14-15%, meaning I only have an 85% battery. VERY, VERY disappointing. There seems to be no way to contact the seller so I guess I'm stuck with a bad battery

My trackpad started trying to push it's way out through the top of my Spectre x360 14-ea0xxx, with the right click being noticeably harder to press. Battery life seemed mostly normal, but I was concerned the battery was swelling, so I purchased this battery to replace it. Sure enough, it was swollen and I'm glad I got to it before it broke something else..To replace the battery I had to remove the rubber strip closest to the hinge, under which there was a plastic strip also glued to the case hiding the screws on the back of the unit. The front two are not hidden. This new battery fit in the tight space of the previous exactly. I did end up using my own screw driver set as some of the Phillips were a different size than included with the battery. The old rubber strip hiding the back screws did not go back on, not the battery's fault there. I charged the battery, discharged it most of the way, and have been using it normally since. The battery report shows it restored the original capacity and run time.

Using the provided tools, it took less than 10 minutes to swap batteries. Very happy with the new battery.

I ordered this replacement laptop battery on May 2 and it came on May 4. That's excellent shipping time! That has been the only thing that went right with this purchase.I installed the battery on May 2. I followed the sellers instructions on charging, discharging and recharging the battery.When I rebooted the laptop and I noticed an exclamation mark next to the HP Assistant on the Taskbar. When I checked it, it said "Battery needs calibration."Just to make sure everything was up to date, I installed Windows 10 updates; HP updates, (device drivers, utilities, UEFI BIOS, and firmware.); the AMD GPU driver and any AMD device drivers.I followed the seller's instructions again. When I rebooted, the HP Assistant had the same error. "Battery needs calibration."I emailed with the seller a few times. I asked him if I should get a replacement battery from Amazon before the 30 day return period ended.He told me not to worry. His company warranted the battery for 1 year. He said "there's nothing wrong with the battery, they check every battery before the package is shipped. It's probably the HP software." He told me not to worry, I didn't need to replace the battery.Now it's 6/7/23, past the Amazon return period, and a 1 year warranty from a company that claims the problem is the HP software not the battery.
