This is a great set of urine test strips for testing a large amount of different things. The test strips come in a bottle that's sealed shut when you unscrew the lid which is good as it keeps them fresh until you are using them and each test strip has multiple different things to test, all with slightly different colours. There are easy to understand instructions in this although the instructions have a few extra things listed as being on the test strip like microalbumin which unfortunately aren't on this.You dip these in urine and then wait 60 seconds to see the results which you read against the bottle. The different colours on the bottle telling you if the readings are neutral or positive (which might be something to worry about depending). Unfortunately some of the ink around a couple of the test pads seemed to leak slightly onto the others when wet. However I CAN vouch that they DO work, at least on the ketone and glucose sections, as I unfortunately had a higher than wanted blood glucose level and therefore tested this when that happened to see if they worked and indeed I had trace of ketones as the pad changed colour a bit (which corrolates with my ketone blood testing meter) and higher glucose which is indeed what my blood glucose meter said. So I assume the other levels (which for me were negative) work too. :)

These a great for checking your levels before visiting a doctor to speed up diagnosis as a lot of ailments you will have to submit a urine sample for analysis anyway.They measure Leukocytes, Nitrite, Urobilinogen, Protein, pH, Blood, Specific Gravity, Ketone, Bilirubin, and Glucose. You get 100 test strips in the bottle and there is also a two year shelf life.I only wanted to check Nitrite and Glucose which were all normal.Overall, these are great value at current price of £8.99 (9p per strip) and a great essential to keep in the cupboard in the event of someone feeling unwell. Highly recommended! ;)

I primarily got these test strips to get an insight to the effects of my fasting and whether I had entered the Ketosis phase - unfortunately for me, the test strips didn't really provide me with any useful feedback, as even after 23hrs total fast, there was nothing in my test to indicate Ketosis.The Test kit is extremely easy to use, though I would have preferred the ability to urinate directly on the test strip, instead of having to take a sample in a container. Unfortunately the strips are too delicate to be subjected to a good flow of liquid and the surface breaks up. They are perfectly if used as per the instructions.The Colour matching is extremely accurate and it is easy to see the changes - in my case, no changes, everything was the same before and after the test, which is to be expected if all is ok.

So far these seem to be good strips, giving consistent results to other strips that I use, including ones that are individually sealed. The best way to use strips is to dip for just a second, remove while wiping the back against the edge of the urine container, tap the edge on some toilet paper to catch excess, and then leave flat, reading after the specified time. Different tests have different times that they should be read at, and results have no significance regardless of what they show beyond the specified times. Another reviewer commented about the strip colour for specific gravity not matching the box, however the "normal" result colours as indicated are not necessarily the same as the colours for an unused test strip, although most are. The specific gravity readings that I get are consistent with other strips, and I don't believe these strips to be faulty in that regard. The manufacturing date was recent and they have a claimed two year life. Overall these seem reasonable strips.

These Shivay Herbals urinalysis test strips don't need to be kept refrigerated so they are a lot more useful if you are travelling or away from home.The other benefit is that they have a longer shelf life than the last product I purchased. Some of the tests also work a little faster which is handy if you are in a rush to see the results. The colour chart is quite easy to read (as long as you are not colour blind).As with many similar strips, these test for the same set of ten parameters but the leukocytes and nitrite tests are the ones you are likely to focus on if you suspect a UTI. The positive nitrite test response is very fast and compares well with existing stock.I was impressed with the enclosed instruction and information leaflet which is well-written, although the font is a little small.I think these are good value at 9p per strip and, if you regularly get the urge, well worth having at home.
