We have had this opener for just under a year it will no longer open any letters. It looks like the top blade is not spinning. Can anything be done?

I want to open inbound checks. does it damage the contents of the envelopes?

If we tried it and doesn't do what we want can we return it?

The top blade isn't spinning. Just falls out when you open the blade guard. Is it supposed to click in place or what keeps it in the correct position?
