Having moved into a house built in the 90s, its not surprising that all of the sockets are standard, with no USB power available.Since we live in 2024, we have a lot of electronics that can and are powered by USB cables, so more and more these days sockets with USB ports are a necessity and that's why a socket like this one from ABB are getting more and more important.I finally decided to switch out some sockets at my home and decided to give ABB a shot.The socket looks quite modern and feels generally well built. Switching out my existing socket was generally quite simple, though remember that a USB socket will take up a bit more room than one that doesn't have it (due to the extra electronics required) so you need make sure your socket electric boxes have enough space to accommodate this.After installation you will now have 2 USB sockets that are rated for 5V and 2.1A.This sadly is only slow charging, so don't expect to rapidly charge your phone on this, however considering there are a lot of electronics that only take 5V this is still okay.Overall, I like this socket. Installation is simple, it looks great and now I have 2 extra USB sockets to do with as I please. Would recommend!

The single 13a socket is made in white plastic, it features 2 USB A sockets and a snap on front cover to hide the pattres retaining screws. The terminal screws feel like they have a good tight connection to the cables when installed correctly. A deeper than normal back box is required to fit this socket. A nice product, IF UNSURE ABOUT ELECTRICAL WORK SEEK ADVICE.

Good classic style socket. Easy to install and works well. On par quality and price wise to similar ones on the market.

This plug socket is easy to install if you know what you’re doing. It looks good, and does the job. It is able to use my USB devices and a plug socket at the same time.However if you do have an oddly shaped larger plug, it will protrude over the USB sockets which is why it’s lost a star.

Good quality, feels sturdy and reliable. Fits standard backbox well. Nice facia design.

This ABB Inora 1 Gang Switched 13A USB Plug Socket is an ideal upgrade for those areas where you need an outlet and USB connectivity without adding an additional adapter plug. It is well made and is simple to fit. It functions as you would expect, and I have no complaints. A great upgrade to my teen agers bedroom, and a reasonable price too.

Pretty good socket-The faceplate is a slight off white colour and described as grey. It's good quality plastic and thicker than I expected. The switches are good and have a nice snap feedback. The terminals are good and the screws tighten nicely. Very handy having the USB ports built in. Just bare in mind, they are only low power and a power adapter is much better. Still useful for plugging in basic items though-All in all a decent product and was a quick swap over. Current price £12
