Easy As An Easy Thing
Being a bit of a techno nerd - which comes with the engineering background I guess - I love all things control and modern thus I started out early on the 'Home Automation' thing. Which basically boils down to controlling lights really. Anyway, early days were fraught with dodgy gear and worse software. Nothing seemed to integrate properly and getting anything to work seamlessly was a task and a half usually ending in frustration and tears. Not now though. Like most new products of this type these remote operated 13A plugs work without a hitch. The setup process took literally a minute and a half even including the Alexa integration. So fast I didn't even get to boil a kettle before it was done. You first download the Oneplug app to your phone. I did this via the Play Store not the supplied QR code which flags up. Once installed go through the usual routine of setting up an account and then link it to Alexa. Once you have the account you need your wifi password to set this up which takes less than a minute once plugged in.From there on you can control this via its own app or Alexa which I do to save multiple systems being needed. The actual plug is rated at 13A which is fine for most uses in a house. I don't think I'd use this in a high current application simply because the risk of failure is higher. As an engineer I see the size of contactors needed for regular high amperage use and they are bigger than this plug.If there is one downside it's the size of these units. They are small - which is good in most ways - but thanks to that when plugging them in and then plugging in an appliance they don't feel super secure in the wall socket. Not bad but not overly tight either.I can see these are sold under a few names so buy the one that matches your wallet if you are interested. They work well, look neat and smart and integrate well with Alexa.

Does not pair with SLZB-06
Both units absolutely refused to connect to the SLZB 06 hub but did to a conbee2 stick (the device the SLZB is replacing!Otherwise decent enough for the money but no use to me

Once set up, works well
Like some people, took a little longer to install than a standard Amazon plug but once done, no issues! Works seamlessly with Alexa and never had a problem with them. Very happy.
