Great for stamping and then watercoloring
This is not my first time purchasing Fabriano Hot Press Watercolor paper. I had never heard of hot press until I saw a crafter using it in a video. I love to do watercolor and had always used the super good cold press paper, but sometimes if I used a stamp I had to stamp it up to 4 times to get a good impression. With hot press paper you just stamp once and then watercolor. The paper can take quite a bit of paint and water which surprised me. It is also amazing for ink blending. I take my finished projects and turn them into cards. This paper also cuts very easily with my paper trimmer. This is the ‘good stuff’ and is worth the price for me. After putting the work in on a project I dont want it to just be ‘OK’. I want it to look spectacular and that is what this paper gives me. I will keep purchasing this from Amazon as it is a good price and quality paper. I wish people had told me long ago that ‘Paper Matters’!! Because it does.

Well made paper, so smooth.
Using this for botanical drawing with colored pencils and micron pens.

This paper is quickly becoming my favorite. You won’t be disappointed with this product.
I really love the hot pressed paper. It’s so smooth, where cold press is really rough in comparison. And worse...hard to find hot pressed. A week

This paper is all kinds of awesome!
This paper is all kinds of awesome I apply water on both sides and it didn't buckle at all this stuff is nice and thick and I love the fact that it's hot press so It gives me room for details and I can even use my airbrush on it.

Texture
I received this yesterday. Have not done any drawings yet but hopefully it is not like other papers that you can see the roughness of the paper through the drawing. See attached to see samples of. That is what I am trying to avoid. I did a sample of layering in the Legion paper and it was the same. In addition to that, the tablet/papers came unglued from the bottom. Disappointed, but not a reason to return. Overall it seems fine. I'll see what happens once I draw. The color pencils, by the way, are the best- Prismacolors. Hope this helps!

Fantastic paper
Honestly, this is some of the best watercolor paper I've used. It's very affordable as well. Bright, clean, and with a tooth that's not too smooth or too rough, it's really, really balanced and fantastic. Good for beginners and pros. Now my go-to.

great quality
Love love love this paper. High quality paper and excellent price. I do mixed media art so my paper needs to handle up to 6 or more layers at times of paint, gesso, matte medium etc..and it does it beautifully.

Does not work well with masking tape or fluid.
I thought this paper would be fun to paint with because I love hot press watercolor paper but I was a bit disappointed with it. Whenever I used making tape or even making fluid, no matter how careful I was removing them, the paper ripped easily and would ruin the painting with the noticeable tears. This paper is good for painting but if you need to mask some areas, do not recommend with this paper.
