Fresh vitamin C serum
The Dr. Jart brightening serum comes in a very light weight sealed foil pack. Inside there is a small bottle which is used to mix fresh vitamin C serum. The design is to ensure the freshness of the serum since the serum is only mixed before use. My face does feel soft, smoother and less textured when using this. But the quantity included only lasted a week for me when used on the whole face, my skin went back to its norm when the product ran out. I think the price seem high since it's hard to see results in such as short time. If not regarding the cost, then the product seems to have high quality ingredient and great design.

Nice idea??
Interesting concept but not strong enough for me.

Gimmicky, but a fun gimmick
This was a fun but odd take on a vitamin C serum. You drop the ball into the serum and shake until fully dissolved, and then use it as a regular serum. I'm not sure what the point is, ir if having it in a ball helps the stability of the vitamin c, but it's fun. It didn't dissolve fully, so there were chunks, but it worked for the most part. It claims to be a 7 day brightening ampuole, but the listing shows results after 1 and 4 weeks, so it's something you can definitely use for longer than 7 days. Some people have had an issue with it oxidizing, but I keep it in the fridge and it's been fine for over a month now without turning dark yellow. You don't get a full ounce like you would woth other serums, but it's lasted me for a bit using it once a day. It works about as well as any other vitamin c and niacinamide serums, it isn't greasy and is easy to use without leaving my face feeling too sticky.

Korean skincare is living in 2050
I don't know when Korean skincare became so big, but it's honestly years ahead of the rest of the world. There is always going to be a bit of a controversy since 'brightening' in Korean skincare often means 'lightening' and melanated people have taken a bit of offense to that.Since this isn't a dark spot removing product, that's the context in which 'brightening' exists--a mild skin tone lightening.I think you can probably get a C and Niacinimide combo for cheaper, and I know you can get a vitamin C serum for crazy cheap, so this might be marked up higher than necessary. It's a good product and works well, not slimy (unlike snail mucin, ewww) or harsh on my skin, but I'm not quite sure it's worth the price?

Expensive for a 7-day treatment
This product is definitely the most unique serum I have used. The serum bottle comes with a small freeze-dried ball of vitamin c. You drop it in the serum and shake until it dissolves. The purpose of this is to have fresh product, which is pretty cool. It is intended to use as a 7-day brightening treatment to use day and night. I did enjoy using the product, and I did notice my skin looking more bright. However, the product is still pretty pricey and isn't shelf-stable for long once activated. It is meant to be used promptly.I think it is important to know what you are getting with this product. It is not just a normal serum. However, I do like this brand and felt the product was effective. I just don't think I could personally justify the price.

I don’t get it
There is not a lot of product in this bottle. I don’t think I got a solid 3 weeks out of it. I don’t really think the formula is great. Feels very watery.

So far so good . . .
This is an interesting presentation of vitamin C serum. I like how the serum is a water like consistency and sinks into skin immediately. There is no burning or tingling upon application. You can layer another serum with more hydrating properties on top of this will no problems at all. I wait 20 minutes before doing so, in order to let the Vitamin C work - I read that you should do that years ago and have always followed that rule, with good results. This has no scent or fragrance at all, and a little goes a long way. While this says it is a 7 day brightening treatment, there is much more product than you can use in 7 days. The package says this must be used in 30 days, which is typical for a Vitamin C product also, as the effectiveness degrades.I haven't noticed any results yet, but I am not through with the bottle. I will reevaluate this when it is empty to see if I'll be repurchasing or going back to "my usual" vitamin C.
