My kiddo loves this! So fun, and I feel it’s a great alternative to traditional toys

Great idea but poorly executed
This is a great idea but it lasted 10 min. While the machine still operates, the machine doesn’t “sew.” The instructions say to check to make sure the machine is threaded properly but no where in the instructions does it tell you how that is supposed to be. Even in the troubleshooting section it tells you to make sure it’s threaded properly but doesn’t tell you how that should be. Needs more thorough instructions. Also, for those curious, it will not sew anything thicker than the sample material and it’s just a running top stitch. The item will not stay sewn for long.

Not exactly the most practical item.
This item was purchased to show my granddaughter how to begin sewing. When the bobbins ran out of thread it's kinda useless. There was nothing in the instructions on how to refill the bobbins so it's now just another toy in the toy box.

This is such a fun little machine
As soon as this delivered my 8 year old had to start learning how to use it. It’s super simple to figure out and definitely kid friendly. We haven’t tried making anything yet except for the test piece she went to town sewing on. It worked great for that though. This would be a fun gift for any kid I think.

Gift for my daughter
My kid has been asking for a sewing machine so I'm hoping this one is kid friendly and fun to use. I wanted one that was kididh but that actually sewed

Safe to use because you can't!
Read the other reviews too. This machine transforms into a dormant toy after one use - it stops sewing. It's a great pretend toy; nothing more.

Not worth it
Kiddo was so excited about this, but it didn't actually work. Although it came pre-threaded, there were no instructions on how to rethread when it came undone. Troubleshooting options included a suggestion to adjust the tension, but the tension knob is not labeled so it's very hard to know what tension level you are on or if it has been adjusted. Once I got it threaded the way I thought the picture looked like, it acted as if it were sewing, but didn't actually hold a stitch. Also, box says it includes everything you need, which is not true. It does not include a ribbon or cord for the drawstring. It also suggests you need straight pins, an iron, something to mark your fabric with, and scissors, which admittedly, if you are already a sewist then that's probably something you already have, but if not, or if this is a gift for a little beginner, be prepared to need more things. Or honestly, just save your money. I purchased for $11 and it was not worth it. Will be returning for something else.
