Works well
I live with a conservation area behind my house - mosquito heaven. At first I used a large amount of repellent as if I was putting on sunscreen and the odor was intense. I used much less and mosquitos were still kept away. Note: this is an oil-based product, so if you pick up things with ink lettering, you might find ink all over your hands (e.g. the print on doggie bags)

Worthless for gnats!
Don't buy this if your issues are with gnats! It seems to attract them rather than repell!

Pleasent scent
The repellent has a pleasant scent and I didn't get bit by anything so I guess it works. I like that it's DEET free.

very strong smell, goes in my head
So i got my first bottle defective as its spray was not working. So make sure you check the spray of your bottle if not using immediately.Second bottle arrived today and man the smell is insane. Its very strong and goes in my head and kind of gave me a headache and that too with one pump spray. I had to wash my hands to get rid of smell. This might work on mosquitoes but I will not be using it a lot coz of smell. Also, it spreads smell anywhere you put the bottle so be careful on where you are gonna put it.Left my skin a little sticky/itchy after use.

Worked well on a hot, swampy hike
I hike on marked trails pretty much everyday the weather allows. In the summer, that means I occasionally face unbearable bugs buzzing me with intentions of biting. To avoid that I usually use chemical repellants in aerosol bottles, so I was curious to see how this more natural approach worked...After a long hike through a swampy area on a hot day, this essential oil insect repellant performed very well. The pump bottle produces a fine mist, so getting good coverage is easy. Moreover, because this is an essential oil based approach, you can also spread this on as you would any body oil.It definitely did not irritate my skin; if anything, is was like putting on extra moisturizer. The scent when this is on your skin is very noticeable and, to me, smells more of citronella than lemongrass. To be fair, those two scents are very close and, either way, I like the natural fragrance of this to typical chemically based bug repellants. When it came to keeping mosquitoes, gnats, and other flying insects away from me, this performed very well. There were definitely bug in the air, but they did not seem particularly interested in me.I would happily say this works as well or better than my old repellants. This essential oil repellant has been a big hit with me.It is easy to get on, wears well, and its natural scent is both pleasant and effective at keeping bugs from bugging you during your outdoor time.
