Great for camping!
If you've ever had to use a can opener like this, you know how simple of a device this thing is. My wife bought it thinking it was going to be a large can opener. It is not, haha. That said, this is a very small and portable can opener that you can easily bring anywhere.Where I don't recommend this is for folks that want the traditional can opener type where the device spins and cuts the top off. This isn't that. Simple but very useful. Get it if you need to bring can openers places like camping or parties.

completely manual
I have a small kitchen and want to live as cheaply as possible. i've seen the military P38 openers... this is pretty much like that with more area to grip while cutting... i believe the P38 is named because it is to take 38 cuts to open a standard can. This one is somewhere around that too. There's another hand opener -Good Cook Travel Size -love these but the problem is that they rust because for such a tiny opener it does have manually moving part so I keep replacing them and they are getting harder and harder to find which is why i purchased this Japanese one. The result after completely opening are sharp edges on the lid and the can but the benefit of the sharp edges is that you can squish the lid down into the can to drain any unwanted fluids where as those openers that open leaving no sharp edges is virtually impossible to strain the cans. So one just has to be very careful especially taking the lid off of your strained can! I use these manual openers for everyday living... The Good Cook Travel Size is faster for me to use but for opening a couple of cans and keeping my hand/finger agility up, I consider manual can openers therapy. =] I have to add... these openers' blade is slightly curved so it works great for standard sized cans... the big yam cans are a bit trickier but still doable. just be more patient.

Opens Great! Rusted quick :(
Works very good once you get the hang of it. Used it for pet food cans. My hands crap really easily and I have carpal tunnel, but I was still able to use this easily enough. I wouldn't want to open a lot of cans with this thing though.Side note: it rusted first day I used it. The cutter is riveted into the handle. The rivets are what rusted. It doesn't affect cutting ability, but it doesn't look very nice.Like the portability, like the compactness, it's great at cutting, but it's a rusty thing.

So far so good.
This thing is cute. I have not used it yet but they are dinky. I will update when I have used it. I will say that the quality is there. It has heft for being small and it is good clean construction. Of to the kitchen I go. I will let you know.Hello all,I am back. This little bugger works but it is not for someone who has any hand issues. I have openned a couple of beers and bottles of wine. All with no fuss. If you ask why, visiting family, that's why. But this gem is just the fit for someone who is looking for a Church Key but more compact than normal. I still haven't figured out what the third metal tab is for. I will have to learn another language to figure it out I guess.

Simple, good quality design that works!
After my $10 "Made in China" can opener broke within a few months of purchase, I was determined to find a good-quality, well-made can opener that will hold up. I thought about the old military-style openers that came with the c-rations, and remembered how well those worked, so I bought some of those that are on sale at amazon, as well as this one. Both work great. This one is not as compact as the old-style G.I. openers (although it's the same design concept), but the extra bulk and rigidity makes it easier to grip. It also serves as a bottle top popper. I am very happy with this purchase. If you are tired of having cheap-made gadgets break on you, this one won't disappoint you.

Great product for a very cheap price
Best can opener ever! forget the electric ones and hand-twisting ones that keep getting loose and stop working within months. This low-price design is much easier, easy to clean and will last a lifetime. I've had a similar design for well over 30 years, and my sister has always envied it. I found this one on Amazon and bought it for her. She's delighted!

Not ergonomic & prone to rust!
This product did not meet my expectations. Yes, it is able to open cans well, but it's also incredibly uncomfortable and awkward to use. The design of this can opener makes a lot of sacrifices to include a bottle opener. It feels like you are actually buying a bottle opener with a built-in can opener, not a can opener with a built-in bottle opener. Also, the rivets used to hold the cutting blade are prone to rust as you can see in the photo I uploaded. Before you add this item to your cart, take a good look at the picture of the product and visualize how you are going to hold and manipulate this awkward tool, and ask yourself if you like having rusty objects near your food. This product would be amazing if it didn't have the built-in bottle opener and included stainless steel rivets. The other picture is a failed attempt to remove the bottle opener.

Works great especially on small mouth cans where rotary can openers may fail
I saw a YouTube review comparing 3 compact manual can openers. This was 2nd best in the review but it costs less than one third the price of the Nogent Super Kim so this was my best choice.I will still use my $4 Ebay rotary smooth edge can opener for most cans. However, for small 4oz mushroom cans, etc. this tiny Japanese can opener actually works more reliably and therefore it is usually faster for these cans. This may also extend the life of my rotary can opener by restricting its use to larger and most compatible can types.
