The Weber Smokey Mountain Smoker (WSM) has vents with three holes and a rotating cover. To use a temperature controller/fan with the WSM, you need an adapter that will cover one entire vent. The Inkbird Universal Bowl Adapter lets you to use the Inkbird Smoker Controller (ISC-027BW) with your WSM, and it can also be used with certain other smokers. The Universal Bowl Adapter fits over the Weber vent and attaches with a bolt and wing nut. The Controller then fits into the adapter, with just a friction fit.Some temperature controllers (like the one I have been using for nearly 20 years) use adapters that resemble a stainless steel dog water bowl. My WSM cover won't fit over that kind of adapter, so I have to remove the adapter after each cook. But the Inkbird adapter has a smaller, low profile round body that sits closer to the side of the WSM and allows me to put the cover on the WSM without having to remove the adapter, which is very convenient.The adapter itself is well made (stainless steel), sturdy, and fits well on the WSM. It is not tall enough to clear the tabs on the original vent, though, so if you have the original vents you can either remove one by drilling out the rivet, or bend the tabs to allow installation of the adapter. My vents had been bent and damaged from years of use, and I replaced them last year. So I just unscrewed and removed one vent, and installed the adapter in its place. The whole process took less than ten minutes.The adapter includes a small port with a silicone grommet, through which you can route a probe wire. I plugged this port because I won't be using it. My probe wires go through a slot at the top of the smoker.Overall, I find this adapter to be well designed and well built, easy to install, and the low profile lets me keep the adapter in place, instead of having to remove it after each use. It's a nice addition to the WSM.

Fits greaet with inkbird temp controller for the WSM. I had to bend the tabs a bit to get it to fit (with my hands, no tools required) but it was pretty easy to get on. No issues with leaking from the adapter (my smoker leaks from elsewhere).

Didn’t fit my application

Easy install on my WSM! Similar to others I did have to bend the tabs vs removing the original vent cover for one of the vents when installing. Doesnt impact performance. This worked great with the Inkbird ISC-027BW fan controller. Would recommend purchasing both this adapter and that fan for some amazing cooks on the reliable WSM!

Easy to install - put the bolt through the lower hole and it lines up on the tabs. I may add a gasket if it leaks air, but the fit is secure

Nice Little Adapter. Takes a little bit of messing with to work on a Weber 22” kettle but once you get it positioned right in the bottom vent it works great.

Product description specifically says it will work on a Weber Smokey Mountain (WSM). It even shows a picture of a Weber Smokey Mountain. It will not fit a WSM. Will be returning.
