Gotta have
I put off buying these for many years, thinking that the trouble of using the old style was not a really big deal. My sons bought me a set of these for my birthday. To be honest, I very quickly realize I should’ve bought these many years ago. They don’t scratch the boat. They are super easy to use. No complaints.

It works great every time.
Works as it should, you get quality if you pay for it

Nice item.
Really a slick little item. My trailer had a mount for it and I like that it keeps the bow cinched down. I use it with the winch that pulls the boat forward in the same eye. I can see they might have use as tie downs in an enclosed trailer, like for a Razor or similar.

Buy The Best
I've had other brands of retractable transom ratchets, and they degrade quickly, and become 'slack' easily - requiring encouragement to retract. But not the Boatbuckle. I have found them to be very solid and durable. Why, then, am I buying a single one? Because I crunched one with a bad ramp experience - it was irreparable. I took the opportunity to check all other available brands, and thought "maybe there is a better option, or I can buy a brand new pair of some brand for close to the cost of this single Boatbuckle." But I finally came to my senses after reading reviews. The Boatbuckle isn't the cheapest option to be sure. But in my experiences over the years, it is easily the best.

Good product
Just installed on my boat trailer and it seems to be a nice quality product. Replaced some old rod saver brand transom straps that were wore out. Definitely a improvement! Much easier to use

Pontoon trailer solution
We purchased a pontoon that we love to take to different lakes. However, the boat rides heavy on the back of the trailer. Dealership recommended a ratchet strap but we knew there was a better option. After much research I purchased 3 boat buckles (Stainless Steel). We had them professionally installed, one on the tongue and two on the rear of the trailer. The installer did build a bracket for the front strap as there was not a good place for the install. These are the perfect answer! The covered hook prevents scratching of the boat or trailer. The quick release makes loading and unloading the boat quick and easy for even our kids. Most of all the boat stays tight to the trailer when traveling down the road. I highly recommend these for ease of use and security of your boat.

retractible straps for crestliner 17' tournament series
work just the way I like them, work great, did need to drill a hole in trailer and got longer bolts for it.

great
wouldn't have a boat trailer without them.
