What do you get for someone who has everything? That’s right, Skull whisky glasses except these of course are whisiskey.The glasses have a good weight to them and look awesome with the skull shape once filled with your chosen spirits.The decanter is a very clever design that looks like a globe when assembled but has an inverse design to the glasses where the skull is actually not filled but the void around is.It looks amazing but I was surprised how small the decanter part is but I guess it only has to hold one bottle.I think with port the effect could be even better with the dark red against the skull.It comes with coasters and some other accessories for the complete set.So for a unique gift it would be a really good choice and certainly a talking point.

Unusual set which I thought my son would like for his birthday. Read a couple of reviews and was a bit confused but the set that cam to me was definitely a glass decanter and glasses.The glass is a very thin borosilicate so the decanter and glasses are light but probably as robust as any other glass product. Comes with all the trimmings - stopper, pourer, stand, ice tongs and ice blocks (with a wee bag to store them in) and, of course, the 2 glasses.Decanter and glasses have a skull incorporated into the glass which looks good enough without any liquid and I will wait to see what they look like when my son fills them up.All in all very pleased so far and sure my son will like the set - great value for an unusual gift.

This is most certainly a high quality item, beautifully packaged and very securely too. This would make such a beautiful gift for that whiskey lover in your family, or friends fo course and for the sheer quality, the price is very well placed too. The set consists of a blown glass decanter with a skull in it, this has its own stand for resting it at an angle. There are two stoppers included, one is a glass stopper for using all the time in the decanter, the other is a pourer spout. There are a small set of tongs for picking up ice, although if you don’t want watered down whiskey then it also includes metal ice cubes too. There are a pair of glasses, which also have the skull blown in the shape and if I’m honest, this is the only bit I can’t decide upon… I say this because they actually could be used either way up… so you could fill the skull, as it does show in the product picture, but then the glass does have a rather thick rim and if you’re not keen then you could turn the glass upside down, giving you a thinner rim and probably more liquid capacity (win win!), but then the skull would be upside down of course… Any way the choice would be up to you. Finally, there are a paid of coasters for popping your glass of whiskey on.The whole thing is very well protected in the foam fitted box and the other carton is very smart, with a matte finish, although this does mark easily, so be mindful of this if buying as a gift.Overall, I think this is a very lovely gift set and would highly recommend it.

This is a great gift for the right person, so I’ll assume you’ve already decided that the person you’re buying for will appreciate it.It’s very well made and presented in a lovely way that makes it seem much more expensive than it actually is. It’s a classy looking product all around and feels sturdy and well made when you hold it. The glasses seem to be usable either way up, whether this is by design or not I can’t tell, but it will be an interesting choice for the end user.The decanter comes with a stand that holds it at an angle, and a matching stopper to keep the contents from spilling. There’s also a shot pourer spout if you want to measure out your shots: I’m not sure how much use this will get but it’s nice to have the option. The decanter is held at an angle, which I think adds to the gothic feeling, but also reminds of a vintage globe. Even if you’re tea total it will make a lovely display as it’s genuinely an intriguing piece of blown glass.In addition to the decanter and glasses you also get a set of ice tongs and four stainless steel cubes that you can keep in the freezer to chill your drink without watering it down as with melting water ice.I highly recommend this as an unusual gift for the alternative stylish whisky fan in your life.

A really quirky decanter featuring a skull inside and glasses with a skull shaped bowl. Is it supposed to be a warning that in excess alcohol can kill you? When I first saw it the globe shaped decanter sat on it's stand , like a globe atlas suggested it would pivot to allow the liquid to be poured without removing it from the stand but that isn't the case. The stand is necessary because the decanter is globe shaped and performs no other function which I found disappointing. An opportunity has been lost to create a gyroscopic decanter which could allow you to pour your liquor by simply tilting the stand. Of course it would have to be controlled or the liquid could go everywhere.I am not taken with the skull shaped bowls in the glasses which makes it tricky to measure a single or double shot and have room to add water, etc. Throw in the stainless steel ice cube and that limits the volume even more, nice as they are. The spout is of course useful for decanting your whiskey into the decanter and the tongs prevent ice burn handling the cubes when frozen. Four stars for a dubious choice of the skull motif and a lack of ingenuity.
