I have a limited space where the Bearded dragons tank is. Getting him in and out without worrying about him (or us) getting burned by the lights that sit atop the habitat is a real pain. This way I don't have to move the lights before I feed, water or just play with the little guy. I would highly recommend this product.

Not satisfied with the shipping packaging. I’m amazed the “package” made it to me without the item breaking. It was shipped in a box that was too small, flattened out and taped on the sides. You could see the actually product through the tape on the sides. There was NO box structure(since it was a flattened box), could have been easily broken. Bought this after the cat broke the glass tank lid I had. I was hoping for something sturdy.. but honestly I feel like the cat would be able to easily break the hinge down the middle. It’s working for now.

The size in bold letters says it's 12x24 but it isn't. It's well over 12.5 inches and my lizard can easily escape. There's no refund available, apparently, even though their description was misleading. Usually Amazon is great, but for some reason, a refund wasn't available. I gave the screen to my mom, who has another aquarium that this fits much better. She has miniature tree frogs so escape is much less of an issue for her, and she's very happy with the hinged, screened cover.

A lot of people do not like this style of lid. You can only open half of it at a time. Of course, if you wanted to, you could just remove the lid like you would a non-folding lid. I think it's great. I use it on a snake. I'm always worried that my snake will get out of the other side of the cage while I'm trying to grab her, so it's nice to have some extra security. It also secures well to the tank using regular metal clips. You can leave one half secured all the time so you don't have to fuss with it.I had to order this lid on Amazon because a lot of pet suppliers did not have this type. I was warned that the hinges break down over time, but I haven't seen any sign of weakness. Even if the hinges broke, the lid would be stable enough with locking clips (which if you have a screen lid, you'll need any way for your rodents and reptiles)This lid shipped quickly and was received in a comically large box. That said, it was in perfect condition when it arrived. This lid meets expectations and if I ever need another, I'll come right to Amazon.

Mine was delivered with two holes in it. It looks like something heavy landed on it as well. The box was fine. I am returning it and I ordered another one. Hopefully the next one is good.

I like how you don't have to left the whole top off the aquarium. knowing my snake cannot escape also a plus. put the heat lamp on top and you are good to go.

I am able to add food and water for my tortoise and can still have the heat and uvb lights on without having to worry about move things off. It works great and would recommend it to others.

Not a tight seal like the last one I had. My snake got out in the first day. Thankfully found and returned him. Right now the top is secured by duct tape but finding a better solution soon. The strong mesh is nice but without a good covering around the edge, it doesn't matter.

Great to have large access to the inside of the tank without having to remove the entire screen.

Perfect cover! Fits our 20 long tank perfectly and makes it easier to clean up.

This is the right size and it's perfect for what I needed. Except its damaged. I cant put this on my cage. I have a snake and if it tries to poke its head through this it will get hurt. So I will have to use my other till I can get in touch with customer service.

Fits well. Top mesh is not super strong, I tried to cut the zip ties off that held the packaging and it ripped the mesh instead of cutting the zip ties. I had to get a pair of wire cutters to ensure I didn't break the mesh any more.

Fits the 12 x 24 tank very well with a loose enough fit around the upper plastic border that is over the tank glass. Does not lock down by itself. Would have to purchase a Zilla "fresh air" accessory to snap or lock it down.

I bought this for our 30 gallon tall tank which hold fire belly toads. Used along with screen clips it has kept our very determined, very interested cats from eating the toads. It is very sturdy (can easily hold the weight of 2+ cats plus lights without bowing in the middle).
