Excellent quality gauges, so-so carry/storage pouch
Very nice! Good thick steel plate I measure at 0.0770”(1.96mm) for the round wire gauge and 0.0480” (1.22mm) for the rectangular thickness gauges. They are also very clean and smooth showing a good attention to finish and lending themselves to not snagging or generally being awful to use. The text is very clean. Some lighting conditions may make it harder to see though. I tried to get a picture of such to show you’d have to get the right angle to see it well. While I have not double checked every single one of the spaces, all those I have checked, have been dead on. I see these easily competing with more expensive brands. The carry pouch is where they lose a star for me. The material is called a high quality leather, but it’s clearly not actually leather. It must be a typical PU type material and I’ve often found these things to degrade over time, especially with frequent exposure to shop environment chemicals. More so in the fold of the flap where it will likely start to crack in the near term. I guess we’ll see how it goes though. Sure it looks fantastic now, but how about five years from now when you’ve touched it with different types of grease residue hands? Or something worse. Some of us really try hard to keep our tools clean, but it still happens. I also found that just a bit of scraping the edge with my fingernail makes it start to flake apart. So it appears any reasonable abrasion to an edge and it's going to become a mess.
